I had the opportunity to be at the Volvo V40 preview. It was a D2 model but full option. I really liked what i saw. The Seats where great way better then my C30. More in line with the current S60/V60. Interior is a whole step up from the C30/S40/V50/C70. I liked the Panoramic roof and the full LED lighting and the new LCD HUD.
I still dont know what to think of the rear end of the car. Its not ugly but not as pretty as the V60. But i also thought that of the C30 at first and now i love that look :)
Cant wait to test drive this car in 2-3 months. The C30 is awesome to drive. I hope the V40 wont dissapoint. I dont expect it to be as good but i really hope its close to the C30 i area's like feedback from the steering wheel and cornering performance.

This video (made by Volvo) shows how the new customizable Active TFT crystal display in the instrument cluster of the new 2012 Volvo V40 works. The dash and interior of the new Volvo V40 are really nice and points out the "Design around you"-concept perfectly. It's very easy to customize the instrument cluster to the color you want and it's a very cool feature in my opinion. The 3 standard modes (or better said: themes) are: Elegance (brownish), Eco (blue/green) and Performance (red). Note: the customizable Active TFT display is an option for a Volvo V40 and doesn't become as a standard so you'll have to buy it as an accessory. On the more luxurious models it's already installed. The new Volvo V40 is for sale at the local dealer since August 2012 and has already Modelyear 2013.
