Fatal high speed police chase - Unmarked SAAB 9-5 Aero vs Kawasaki ZX-10R *Translated*
***EDIT This video doesn´t show the crash! At 47:57 the chopper report the
bike has wrecked. There is no pics of the bike after the crash in this
video. Subtitles is only availible first 20 minutes.
This guy did only have license to drive cars, caught riding a bike can
result in a 6 month ban. Speeding at 81 km/h over the limit (and more) will
revoke your license for 8 month. Bottom line, many riders going fast on
1000cc sportbikes will run. Choppers are used rarely to catch speeders***
A Kawasaki ZX-10R fly by an unmarked SAAB. The biker has no mirrors and
ain´t aware of he is being followed by the police.
At 14.30 the bike starts to pick up the pace.
At 17.10 he looks back and guns it. Soon he is gone and this unit doesn´t
have the bike insight again. Although the bike is far away this unit
continues to chase him for 30 minutes. More than 20 unites including a
chopper were involved in this chase.
A heating debate started in Sweden if police acting appropriate due to the
fact this was only a traffic violation. The biker died in the end when he
slammed into a road barrier, the passenger didn´t suffer any injuries. The
rider was just a regular chap going out for a ride on his ZX-10R equipped
with a Racefit Growler
Nothing happens in the last 20 minutes, just radio traffic
theSAABguy Repairs: 2002 SAAB 9-5 Blower Motor or Fan Speed Controller
In this video I replace a Fan Speed Controller on a 2002 SAAB 9-5. I began
the job believing it could just be the blower motor (which is easier), but
after plugging in the good blower motor I diagnosed the Fan Speed
Controller to be the true culprit. Here is a link of the part which needed
to be replaced: http://www.eeuroparts.com/Main/PartDetail.aspx?id=4869319.
You can follow the directions as seen in this video for both the blower
motor and fan speed controller. However I don't show what I did under the
dash which was the trickiest part.
Enjoy your SAAB.

The mystery of the Saab headlamp switch
Here's reason #1 why Saabs are known to be "quirky"... The headlamp switch
is not typical. In this video I explain the "modes" that control the
sophisticated lighting system in a 2007 Saab 9-3. I demonstrate how to use
these functions: flash-to-pass, follow-me-home, and remote control.
How to Add an AUX Input to a Saab 9-3
This video shows how to add an AUX input jack to a 2003 or newer Saab 9-3.
Before doing this you might want to look in your center armrest and see if
there's one there already. I had one, I just didn't know it. Oh well... I
like the location of this one better anyway. My car is a 2006. I don't know
what year Saab started adding the AUX input in the armrest, but some of the
earlier cars didn't have them.
Anyway, now I have TWO AUX inputs! :-)
If your car is a 2003 through 2005, go here to see how to connect the wires
directly to the pins on the back of the stereo:
2004 SAAB 9-3 blower motor constantly on fix DIY
This is a 2004 SAAB 93 Linear. The Blower motor was on "high speed" in this
car constantly. The fan was always on. Even when the key was off. The cause
was the resistor or "A/C control unit" as they called the part. Hope this
helps others who might be experiencing this problem.
~ 700hp Turbo Saab, 312kmh (194mph)
Extreme turbo Saab + 300 kmh
Many viewers have misunderstood this video, so I explain it a little:
-Speed at finish line (1mile/1609m) is measured. Time is not measured.
-First Saab does 1st and 2nd gear with ~half throttle. Second Saab has
limited Boost for 1st and 2nd gear.
- three extra seconds between 0-100kmh typically means ~30meters wasted.
But three extra seconds used in speeds close to 300kmh, means almost
Here is equally powerful RWD cars (if not even more HP's) These RWD's are a
lot faster between 0-150kmh, but
these Saabs are faster from
150kmh-300kmh. You get the point when you compare speeds at finish line.
-A Saab 9-5 driver pushes a little too much throttle @3rd gear and looses
traction. He lifts a throttle and pushes it back, but too much again and
then he gears up 4th, a bit earlier than planned. (optimal is@205kmh).
Earlier that summer I broke one gearbox when pushing too hard on 3rd gear.
With new gearbox and at later event, I drove very gently on first three
gears to avoid breaking it again. I pushed WOT for the first time on 4th
gear @ 190kmh. You can hear it clearly on following video. Engine tone
changes totally around 200kmh. Incar video is from 299kmh pull (at 1 mile
race) Something happened to camera during the run. So I didn't get any
incar video from a 305kmh pull. To see that run from the start line, please
see my other videos.
Here is incar video until camera dies. Start is @1min.
How To Diagnose and Replace a Bad Brake Caliper -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
Brakes are a common DIY project but I often get asked about brake calipers
and how to check if they're bad. This video not only shows how to find a
bad brake caliper but also how to replace it. It is recommended that you
do both sides when you find a faulty brake caliper but it's not necessary.
If you're on a budget you can just do one but you might experience a pull
to one side when braking if you do this. Otherwise you can follow the
steps in this video for caliper replacement. I use my 1997 Subaru Legacy L
in this video but the principals and techniques apply to many vehicles both
domestic and imported.
