I filmed this car during a revival race of the historic 1000 kms of Monza race. The car is powered by a 4.9 V8 engine with a power of 425 bhp and a max torque of 540 Nm. Top speed is about 340 km/h (211 mph). Camcorder I used: Canon Legria HF M46 + Canon DM100 Microphone Event: 60° Coppa Intereuropa Storica Where: Monza Circuit, Italy Link To My Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/19Bozzy92?feature=mhee THANKS FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBE!!!

A Ford GT40 That Never Saw A Race Track
New CarStories Podcast Available Every Tuesday https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/carstories/id880812994?mt=2 Of the seven Ford GT40 Mark IIIs built, only four were delivered with left hand drive like this car. This rare street-legal example (serial #MK3 1105) was originally owned by well-known Austrian conductor Herbert von Karajan, who drove it sparingly—and never in the rain. The Mark III differed from earlier versions in that it had round rather than oblong headlights, an extended rear deck with room for luggage, a less rigid suspension and a more comfortable interior. Powered by a 289-cubic-inch 306-horsepower Ford V8 engine coupled to a ZF 5-speed manual transmission, the low-slung car can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 5.3 seconds. Top speed is approximately 165 miles per hour. The GT40 model designation was derived, in part, from its low height, which was a mere 40 inches from ground to roof. Old School Ford GT40 DESTROYS a Hellcat…Hell Yeah!
The Ford GT-40 is a TIMELESS piece of automotive excellence that you really don’t get to see all that often, especially ripping down an airstrip! This BEAUTIFUL display of aero and design really caught our attention as soon as it rolled off the trailer. We we’re glad to see it pull out to the starting line to stretch its legs down the airstrip of Rantoul Aviation Center for Omega Motorsport’s NoFlyZone Midwest! ————————————————————————— ——————————— Watch more of our recent & related videos!: — Biggest STREET RACE in US History: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYsduV5ItPo — He Told Us It’s a Leaf Blower!
