Viper Racing League - 8/29/09 - Texas World Speedway
This is my first race with the Viper Racing League (Viper Days/NARRA) at Texas World Speedway on Saturday 8/29/09. We have a rolling start with a pace car and ran 12 laps for about 30 minutes. I edited this video from the 30 minute race down to 10 minutes so it would fit within the YouTube! time limit. We also had a 26 lap inverted race on Sunday for about 50 minutes but my camera messed up and I only got the first lap and it shut off. Anyway, I came in 3rd place in both races behind the World Challenge competition coupes which are much faster and have better drivers. I was extremely happy to come in 3rd. In this race, I started out in the 3rd row inside and managed to get behind Tom in his white/blue comp coupe. I chased him most of the race just waiting for a mistake. He began losing his tires and I managed to stick my nose in on turn 13. He was gracious and let me by but could have easily kept me from passing. We were pretty even the whole race and it was tons of fun. Thanks, Tom! The next race is Roebling Road in Georgia and then off to Daytona on the Rolex Series course.
Dodge Viper ACR racing at Daytona International Speedway with PBOC and Viper Days
Here is a 10 min video of Chad McNiel and David McNiel trip to Daytona - First are random pictures of the cars and track and then on to racing.... Chad Raced his SRT-4 Neon in the Challenge group of Viper Days and PBOC Florida Chapter and hit speeds in the 140's.... Me, well I in the race group and was toping out around 170 on the main straight...The track was fairly challenging and was very fast. A ton of walls and things to hit if you went off - During the 2-hour endurance race on Saturday 4 cars had blowouts - 2 of which hit the wall and had a lot of damage.... I think they learned a lot about proper tire pressures that day. Lots of cars from raced from BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, corvette and Comp Coupe Viper and yes the Dodge Viper ACR; Kevin Ferguson and Brad Gorrondana from the Dallas area with their ACRs were with us too.
TEXAS WORLD SPEEDWAY Z06 881
Nice BMW M3 track car...the driver is really good. My video says texas motor speedway but it should say texas world speedway...oops
NARRA race
This video is from the Viper Racing League Invitational Race at Miller Motorsports Park. What makes it interesting is the Whelen Engineering Rolex GT car piloted by Eric Curran as well as 3 other Whelen Rolex and World Challenge cars were entered. Eric's car had a mechanical DNF on Saturdays race but he lit up the track on Sunday. However, the SMS Corvette won the Saturday race and was 1st in qualifying so all that was needed on Sunday was to finish ahead of the Vipers to get the overall win. This video is from the start with a reverse order grid. (slowest cars first)

Texas World Speedway May 22 Clockwise in Viper ACR
NARRA/Viper Days. Texas World Speedway clockwise in Viper ACR. My second track day in the car and first weekend running clockwise. White Run Group on PS2 tires. This is the first 10 minutes of a 30 minute session and I'm just getting into a groove.
Daytona Coupe at TWS
FFR Type 65 Coupe at Texas World Speedway on Saturday, Sep 26, 2009. Just finished the car Thursday night prior, so this was the first weekend to get some really gentle, mild, cautious(!), track time in. Was at the track with friends from Houston Cobra Club, and it ran great! This was run #4 at end of the day.
TWS CCW 1:56.6 - 2009 Nissan GT-R @ Texas World Speedway 2.9 mile CCW March 15, 2009
In my Nissan GT-R on March 15 2009. I moved up to the Yellow group a month earlier but imo only because the car is so darn good. I ran this lap in 1:56.6 on a slightly damp track and as you can see there is a lot of room for improvement, but a sub 2:00 here is impressive regardless.
I've shed over 20 seconds off my best lap since I first started driving on a track 6 months ago. I good driver could probably break 1:50 in this car.
Only mods are an HKS USA resonated midpipe and some Ferodo DS2500 brake pads that replaced the worn OEM ones..
