Learned how to drive in this car! 1984 Monte Carlo SS. 350 HO GM Performance crate engine, comp cam, Edlelbrock RPM intake manifold, 2.5" Exhaust, headers, B&M torque converter, lowered, 17x8 torque thrust wheels, Baer brake track kit, Yukon 3.73 gears and chromoly axle shafts, LSD diff, HD cross member and cut outs for true dual Exhaust, too much to list. 1988 Monte SS LS7 Solid Roller Idle
1988 Monte SS with a 2006 LS7 crate motor generating 660RWHP N/A on 92
octane pump gas, stock factory short block, ported heads, solid roller cam,
sheetmetal intake, Moser 12 bolt, T56 6 speed, 17x10 & 17x8.5 wheels
w315/35 & 275/40 tires.
Before and after suspension upgrades
First part is my 1985 Monte Carlo SS with stock front springs and control
arms and 2" drop spindles up front and 1" drop springs in the rear. 2 part
is after adding in Detroit Speed upper control arms and Detroit Speed 2"
drop springs and the stock spindles up front and Detroit Speed 2" drop
springs in the rear. It may not look a whole lot different at first, but
the front geometry is completely changed and the front really sticks now,
it's like a completely different car. In fact the back stepped out on me
in the first turnaround and completely surprised me...was NOT expecting
that. Going to take some getting used to...but I like it a LOT already!!

OK i know my camera skills were lacking. theres a bunch more videos on my
channel of this car..most filmed by other people so u dont have to feel
cheated. in my defense i was nervous in the beginning and excited at the
end ..in addition to trying to film with a flip camera not really looking
through its tiny little screen. if anyone can feel me on that
100% homebuilt 85 SS monte. LS1, 6 speed, OBD2 conversion. complete
drivetrain, harness, fuel system, dash and other misc. parts out of a 99 SS
Camaro. the Camaro only had 47k miles when it
came into my possesion. rest of the car including heater, lights, wipers,
cruise control and things like that all being powered from the Camaros harness/controls. none of
the 1985 harness remains except the dome light circuit. t
GM A-body 12 bolt reareand with 4.11:1 gears and a true track posi fitted
with the ss Camaros 12"
rear disc brakes. shortened upper trailing arms and adjustable lowers with
spherical rod ends to fit the older/beefier/wider rearend. still a work in
progress at this point, but to me getting the referee to approve my work
was a big deal and a huge step. this car passes california smog legally! go
green!...well as green as you can go with a full size, v8 powered car thats
built for thrashing.
1983 Monte Carlo with 565 Big Block Chevy with more detailing.
Did some detailing on the car: redid my dash with removable gauge inserts
that I made out of aluminum. Then I bought new anodized valve covers and
stripped and polished them,added borgenson steering shaft, braided power
steering hoses, added second fuel system for Nitrous,dual hood lights,made some hood vents out
of aluminum. etc. So I fired it up to adjust my vacuum pump (probably
pissed off my neighbor).
