DIY: Volkswagen Key Fob Battery Replacement & Disassembly
Video tutorial on how to replace the battery and complete disassemble of a Volkswagen key fob. All you need to slip apart the case is a flat screw (standard) screw driver or possibly a thin coin. The disassemble includes how to open the case, remove the battery, circuit board, and buttons. This takes a Lithium battery, model number CR2032. This keyless remote is found in the years of 2002 to 2009 and the models include Beetle, Golf, Jetta, Bora, and Passat. Part number HLO 1J0 959 753 DC & HLO 1J0 959 753 AM.
