Find out here! http://vid.io/xqoF The Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 are all essentially the same car and together they are probably one of the most misunderstood sports cars sold in America. Misunderstood you ask? Why yes. Many assume that the sexy coupé is rocket ship fast. It's not. Many assume the svelte 2-door grips the road like it has claws. It doesn't. Many have heard rumours that it wears Toyota Prius tires. It kinda-sorta does. What most people don't know however is that these traits combine to create one of the purest, most enjoyable and certainly most affordable rear wheel drive sports cars in America. In the same tradition as a classic lightweight English sports car, the 2+2 Scion FR-S' raison d'être isn't to eat Ford Mustangs for breakfast, it's mission is to be the best balanced track car. And it succeeds. The 200HP and 151 lb-ft of torque are unquestionably low for our modern era where even a Camry cranks out more power, but the power is perfectly balanced to the car's weight AND grip. The low-rolling resistance tires allow the FR-S to get just the right amount of tail-happy on a small track and the manual transmission is perfectly suited to an autocross style event. Sure, putting the FR-S on a larger track like Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca reveals the FR-S is out-gunned by plenty of rivals, but doing so also misses the point. I like to think of the Scion/Toyota/Subaru as baby's first track car, the kind of car you can use to hone your driving skills before moving up to a more-powerful, faster and deadlier vehicle. The key to loving this low-slung 2+2 is to understand what it is, and most importantly: what it isn't.

Scion FR-S Tuner Challenge - The Endurance Challenge
Endurance Challenge: Drama until the very end. Complete details on http://www.tunerchallenge.ca. The time has come for the final event of the Scion Tuner Challenge - the Endurance Challenge. As the name suggests, this was going to be one demanding day for the Scion Tuner Challenge teams, testing the durability of each team's Scion FR-S in heated battle competition. With valuable points on the line and Top Tuner leading Team VCMC by three points, either of these teams could come out on top and win the Scion FR-S they have spent two years of development and countless hours building. The competition didn't take long for drama to kick in. During one of the first practice laps, the Top Tuner car hit the wall while exiting the last corner of the track, while going sideways and bent a control arm. Not the start the team was looking for. Compounding problems for Top Tuner, during the Time Attack the supercharged and Nitrous equipped Top Tuner FR-S suddenly started puffing a large cloud of white smoke. The engine had lost all of its oil! Meanwhile, Babu from Swag Racing team was quite right to be optimistic about the Endurance Challenge that was ahead. For this last round of the Scion FR-S Tuner Challenge, the three teams were facing off in three different events in the same day. The Drag Racing, Time Attack Challenge and the Drifting competition were to be held in one single race day. ''We had an amazing time participating in the Scion Tuner Challenge. Wherever we went we had fun. The Scion FR-S is the most amazing vehicle I ever got to play with." Richard Basford's team VCMC had prepared the car to its best and were going to give their 100% in the competition in order to maximize the possibilities of gaining points. Did the competition end the way the team was hoping? "We had a nice event on the east coast at CSCS and it was pleasant to take part in it" concluded Basford. The video tells it all, from crashes to final results, to the winner of the Scion FR-S Tuner Challenge.
