1991 Camaro 3.1 Liter v6 no start. Please help!
I've replaced the things stated in the video, and also the air filter and fuel filter. There is spark, and there is fuel getting to the injectors. I don't know where to turn to besides taking at apart to get at the timing chain and stuff to make sure the timing marks are lined up. That's my last resort if I have to go that far. Also, the check engine light stays on when the key is on, but there weren't any codes the last time I checked. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you youtubers! Update!!! I just replaced the pick up assembly in the distributor.
Straight Pipe Camaro 3.1L - No Muffler
Straight Pipe Camaro 3.1L - No Muffler I just had the muffler cut off and a new y pipe installed with new pipes to the back deleting the muffler. Otherwise than that it is an all original 1992 Camaro with the 3.1 liter V6 and auto transmission.
1991 Camaro 3.1 Liter v6 Idle Problems
I finally got it running again after putting new spark plugs in it again, but it's idling like this now. It either does this, or it idles rough and makes the car shake. I've replaces the IAC valve, and the TPS. Also, when it idles kind of normally without bouncing back and fourth, the rps go up to about 4g's when I barely touch the gas. I know nothing is binding with the cable, and that made me change the TPS, even though there were no jumps in resistance when I tried to test it. The throttle also seems to stick even when I barely press it, and again, the cable isn't binding or anything, and the throttle body is clean. I've checked for vacuum leaks, and I haven't found any. Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks
1990 Camaro 3.1 V6 Exhaust sound
While we were swapping the rear end out and installing a new pump in the gas tank, we decided it would be a good idea to make some V6 noise while we were at it.
First Clip is with mufflers (and everything else) on the car, and the second one is with everything off up to the Cat.
Stay tuned for the V8 videos when we're done swapping it out.
1994 Chevy Beretta 3100 Flowmaster exhaust
1994 Chevy Beretta GTU conversion, 3100 V6, full 2.5" Exhaust, stock downpipe, no convertor or resonator. Flowmaster Super 44 with Hooker dual 3" resonated tip. Short ram intake installed with Weapon-R filter.
Other modifications to this point consist of: Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm wires, MSD coil packs, NGK Platinum plugs, Canuck Motorsports lowering springs, ES sway bar links, strut-to-strut and strut-to-crossmember braces, Baer drilled/slotted rotors with Cmax ceramic pads, and 17x7" Enkei EV5's wrapped in 215/45 Sumitomo HTR ZII's.
Don't mind the smoke, car takes a while to warm up before it clears away. Sounds much better in person, but this video does give a very good idea of how the car does sound.
91 Camaro flowmaster
this is my 91 Camaro rs it has a 3.1L V6 with a flowmaster 80 series on it, i also have a new pipe going from cat to muffler, and also have K&N filters in an intake from an iroc-z
The Camaro has many new changes and no longer sounds like this, haha its wierd hearing what it used to sound like
the smoke from the tail pipes is because its a cold start
2010 Mustang GT vs Camaro RS - Beauty vs Beast
A short review of a 2010 Chevy Camaro RS V-6 vs a 2010 Mustang GT Convertible V8. We shot 3 challenges; Style, Driving Impressions and a Drag Race. This was shot for TFLcar.com. Why was the Camaro so expensive ???? - $285 for body colored engine cover, $150 for compact wheel and tire, $2265 ground effects package, and $4,000 for the special wheels. They were press cars so we didn't get to choose the exact models.
Production Notes
==============
This is my first foray into the wonderful world of car videography. I'm a huge fan of Top Gear so it was fun to try to mimic some of their shots (one day I'll dream up my own!!). I shot and edited this piece for TFLcar.com with my little $500 Canon HV30 and FCS 2. The slow motion and sped up shots came out ok but I was shooting in 30p (60i is better) and FCP did an ok job. I hear Twixor is better but who has $600 floating around and motion does slomo better but render times are very long. Shooing with the little Cannon was not the best experience - the HV30 produces some great HDV video but the colors suck compared to my old DVX100 (color space perhaps). Apart from the washy colors it's not that easy to handle a dinky camera and I accidently pushed the battery eject cover while the little bugger was hanging out the window of the car and my battery hit the blacktop at 40mph and bounced into some grass on the side of the road. Partly my fault but nice design Canon. No focus ring (you can buy a faux add on one for $40. But for $500 and HD the little thing is untouchable under $1000. I'd like to upgrade to a proper HD camera in the future - HVX170 perhaps.
