2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG! Head 2 Head Ep. 46
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman heads to Graz, Austria, the
home of one of the world's toughest off roaders - the Mercedes-Benz
G-Wagen. The last time a G63 appeared on Head 2 Head, it beat out the
all-new and quite excellent Range Rover Supercharged. This time, however,
the G63 faces even stiffer competition — another G63. Of course, this
particular G has an extra axle, because it's the $500,000+ G63 AMG 6x6!
Costing roughly twice as much as the awesome twin-turbo V-12 powered G65, the 6x6 is the ultimate
expression of the Gelandewagen... on paper. But is it actually any good? Is
the 6x6 as awesome as it looks, or is the regular G-Wagen just too well
thought out? And why is the 6-wheeled truck always jumping in the air like
that? Watch and find out!
Head 2 Head appears every other Wednesday on the Motor Trend channel.

Mercedes Benz E55 AMG Commercial "the Beast"
The main engine is a 5.4 L V8 unit, designated the M113, that carries the
"55" designation. However, this engine comes in two configurations.
The first configuration is found in the C55 AMG, CLK55 AMG and SLK55 AMG is
a naturally aspirated V8 with 360 PS (367 hp/265 kW).
The other configuration is a similar unit but with a highly efficient
Lysholm type Supercharger manufactured
by IHI, found in the rest of the AMG 55 models. The published output
according to Mercedes varies from 476 PS (469 hp/350 kW) to 517 PS (509
hp/380 kW) depending on various methods of power measurements and different
ECU programming for national legislations.
AMG will phase out both the naturally aspirated and supercharged 5.4 L
engines in favor of the new M156 V8 beginning in 2006.
Volvo Trucks - The Hamster Stunt: Charlie the Hero
Is it possible for a hamster to drive a truck? Well, it is now! Charlie the
hamster is the star of Volvo Trucks' new film The Hamster Stunt, achieving
the incredible feat of driving a 15-ton heavy-duty truck up a winding road
through a Spanish quarry.
"Charlie has been carefully selected in an extensive casting process," says
animal handler Grace Dickinson. "He showed that he had the most power, the
best self-confidence and a positive attitude to learning new things."
A hamster wheel was mounted on the steering wheel and by running in
different directions, Charlie was able maneuver the truck from the bottom
to the top of the quarry, despite his minuscule weight of only 175 grams.
