More confirmation that Audi will be taking the Quattro model to production has surfaced recently.
According to a recent report the Quattro Concept was spotted with design-studio license plates on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. The car was being escorted to a photo shoot by the California Highway Patrol.
When questioned Audi employees let it slip that the car was, indeed, headed to production.
The result of the video shoot is this video fully edited.

Audi A3 sedan concept revealed
Intended to recapture the glory of the original A4 (B5) that launched in
1994, the A3, shown for the first time as a sedan, features the familiar
Audi family grille with LED lined headlamps. Elsewhere, Audi keeps things
interesting with agressive bumper fascias, flared fender arches and big
20-inch wheels constructed of carbon fiber and aluminum.
Dressed like a future RS model, power arrives via the same 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine found in
the RS3 Sportback. However, the A3 sedan concept produces 68 PS (50 kW / 67
bhp) more at 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp) through a seven-speed S tronic
transmission and quattro all-wheel drive.
Performance is supercar good with the 0-100 km/h sprint taking 4.1-seconds
in the 1540 kg (3400 lb) vehicle.
Audi quattro concept
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the debut of the quattro, Audi is
presenting a show car at the 2010 Paris Motor Show that moves a futuristic
interpretation of this concept into the fast lane: the Audi quattro
concept, a thoroughbred driving machine with 300 kW (408 hp), five-cylinder
turbocharged engine, a lightweight body
and - of course - the latest generation of quattro permanent all-wheel

in the coupe. Maximum power is 386kW (518 PS) and peak torque is 530Nm (391
lb-ft). The 0 - 62mph sprint time is 4.1 seconds while the manual can
deliver a top speed of 194mph.
2015 Mercedes - Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept - Official Promo
On November 20th 2013 (local time), the inaugural model in the Vision Gran
Turismo project, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo, was revealed at
the Mercedes-Benz Research and Development Center near San Jose,
California. The producer of the Gran Turismo series, Kazunori Yamauchi, was
in attendance, sharing the satisfaction of witnessing the unveiling
together with the Mercedes-Benz staff involved in the creation of the car.
Following this, the AMG is scheduled to be transferred to Los Angeles where
it will be displayed at the Mercedes-Benz booth on the opening day of the
LA Auto Show.
In collaboration with the creators of Gran Turismo, Mercedes-Benz has come
up with a striking sports car that features gullwing doors and some
seriously sensuous curves. The image the design team had in mind was that
of a big cat closing in on its prey, and this has been realised in both the
elegance and sense of agility and alertness in the completed model. The
shape of the front grille is modelled on the classic Mercedes-Benz 300SL,
the winner of the Carrera Panamericana in 1952, a race famed for its
unforgiving conditions. However, the grille differs from the classic model
in being made entirely from LEDs, capable of lighting up independently in a
variety of patterns .
The body is distinctive chiefly for its impressive curves and powerful and
prominent fender, both of which follow firmly in the tradition of
Mercedes-Benz's impeccably proportioned sports cars. The car pays homage to
classic competition cars with features that include the use of trigger
catches to fasten both the bonnet and rear hatch. It is also equipped with
a moveable rear wing. The chassis is made from an aluminium spaceframe with
carbon fibre components, meaning that its weight is reduced to 1385kg (3053
lbs. ), significantly lighter than normal for this type of sports car.
Underneath its elongated bonnet, the AMG has an optimised 5.5 litre V8 twin
turbo engine, boasting an output of
585ps (577 BHP) with a substantial torque of 800N-m at 2000-4500 rpm. With
its ultra-light body, the AMG achieves a power-to-weight ratio of
2.37kg/ps. The sound designers for the AMG have come up with an elegant
specially-tuned Exhaust note for the
eight independent Exhaust pipes which
have been integrated into the tail lights. Rival drivers will hear this
strong and distinctive engine roar as the AMG races past them.
With the worldwide release of Gran Turismo 6 on 6th December , you will be
able to get behind the wheel of this incredible car, a revolutionary model
that introduces Vision Gran Turismo to the world*. Get ready to experience
the sports car of the future, brought to you by Mercedes-Benz.
Vision Gran Turismo is a project where the world's leading automobile
manufacturers develop exclusive concept cars for fans of Gran Turismo. The
AMG is the first in a series of audacious and ambitious models that you
will not want to miss.

Audi Hungaria Motor Kft / Production - Gyor Hungary
http://www.eurocarnews.com - Audi AG - Engine production in Győr already
began in late 1993 with pre-series production. The engine plant was
officially opened in October 1994. In opening this plant, Audi not only
safeguarded its international competitiveness, it also created a strategic
base in Hungary that increasingly gained in importance. Győr now produces
almost the entire range of Audi engines.
Engine production started with the four-cylinder five-valve engine with a
displacement of 1.8 liters, in both naturally aspirated and turbo versions. V6 engines with a displacement of
2.4, 2.7, 2.8, 3.0 and 3.2 liters have also been built at Győr since 1998.
The volume production of 4.2-liter eight-cylinder engines was started at
the end of 1997. By this time, diesel engines with pump-injector technology
were also produced at the Győr site.
The product range was expanded in 2002 with a new generation of engines
featuring FSI gasoline direct injection; the connecting rod production line
for four-cylinder diesel engines began operation two years later. In April
2006, Audi Hungaria brought a particularly powerful engine onto the market
-- the 5.2-liter ten-cylinder gasoline engine with FSI technology. Another
milestone followed that same year: The company presented the Audi Valvelift
System -- a future-oriented, highly efficient and at the same time
surprisingly simple valve-control technology.

Audi Quattro Concept review - Auto Express
Audi is heading back to the future! Thirty years after the original quattro
rewrote the rulebook, Audi has re-imagined its most iconic model for the
modern age. But can the Quattro Concept, first shown at the Paris show last
month, do justice to its illustrious ancestors? Auto Express was first to
put this year's most exciting new model to the test.
2011 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (HQ)
2011 Audi R8 V10 Spyder
The Audi R8 (Typ 42) is a mid-engine, 2-seater sports car,
which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.
It was introduced by the German automaker Audi AG in 2006.
The car was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by Audi AG's
high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, and is based on
the Lamborghini Gallardo platform. The fundamental construction of the
R8 is based on the Audi Space Frame, and uses an aluminium monocoque
which is built around space frame principles. The car is built by quattro
GmbH in a newly renovated factory at Audi's 'aluminium site' at Neckarsulm
In 2005, Audi announced that the name of the successful Audi R8 race car
would be used for a new road car in 2007, the Audi R8, based on the Audi Le
Mans quattro concept car, appearing at the 2003 International Geneva Motor
Show, and 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The R8 road car was
officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. There was
some confusion with the name, which the car shares with the 24 Hours of Le
Mans winning R8 Le Mans Prototype (LMP). 6-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner
Jacky Ickx described the R8 as "the best handling road car today". The
Audi R8 is used as a safety car in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and British
Superbike Championship racing series.
The R8 is due to be replaced with a brand new model in calendar year
2014. The highest output version of Audi's new 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine is expected to power
the new car. This engine is scheduled to be previewed as a detuned version
in the 2012 Audi S8—with 518 hp (386 kW) on tap. In the
R8 application it is expected to produce about 600 hp.
Combined with an approximate 200 lb (91 kg) weight loss, the new R8 is
expected to compete well with the new Porsche 997 twin turbo model and will likely perform significantly
better than the current R8 GT with a 0--60 mph time in 3.2 seconds and a
quarter mile in less than 11 seconds. A dual clutch automated gearbox will
be offered for the first time.
