An incredible Mk1 Ford Cologne Capri lovingly built as a European Touring Car Championship RS3100 recreation.
Fibreglass Cologne wide arch bodykit, ducktail rear spoiler, front spoiler, Smith & Deakin bonnet scoop, lightweight rear quarter plastic windows, full internal bolt-in roll-cage, Cobra Daytona race seats, unleaded stage 2 gas flowed heads, Swaymar gas flowed inlet manifold, Burton V14 fast road cam, steel timing gear, Holly 390 carburettor, Ford Motorsport air filter, Luminition electronic ignition, Magnecor HT leads, Kenlowe electric fan with internal over-ride switch, Facet red top electric fuel pump, chrome engine ancillaries, diamond shape strut brace, AVO adjustable dampers, lowered sport springs, stripped-out race interior, Shift-Lite tachometer.
The Cologne Capri is a real magnet for enthusiasts and this stunning recreation is awesome. Finished in the striking Radiant Red and Diamond White colour scheme the quality of finish is obvious from the deep gloss finish that has been achieved. The lightweight fibreglass Cologne panels have been professionally fitted giving the car gorgeous flowing lines that look right at any angle. From the bonnet scoop, over the louvered rear window to the huge ducktail spoiler this example achieves instant respect and admiration. Difficult to fault other than a few tiny imperfections on very close scrutiny. Amazing and one for the Ford collector.
Spartan, crude and rudimentary just like the RS3100 race-cars used in the 1974 European Touring Car Championships. A complete bolt-in roll-cage and two Cobra Daytona race seats offer secure anchorage for the OMP six point safety belts and leave the driver in no doubt that this vehicle is designed with fun and exhilaration in mind. A separate Shift-Lite tachometer and labelled switches and buttons only add to the 'race' feel but importantly all the creature comforts remain operational such as heating and ventilation! A modified sports cockpit functional but removed from road going examples.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Ford Essex 3.0 V6 engine has been meticulously cared for with documented maintenance records and recognised modifications proving this as a usable vehicle developing 160bhp and not an unreliable unit requiring constant fettling. Unleaded cylinder head conversion, excellent oil pressure and an uprated cooling system make this a driving delight rather than a trailer show and shine exhibitor. Various chrome detailing can be seen beneath the diamond shaped strut brace once again 'wowing' expectant onlookers when the bonnet is raised. The four speed transmission offers perfect ratios and no whines, knocks or creaks exist but familiarisation is required before the driver can enter race mode!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES.
Expensive Compomotive ML light alloy wheels finished in white with polished rims are pristine and offer 8" wide front and 10" wide rear profiles. Shod in new Avon Motorsport CR500 road legal tyres the look created is worth every penny! Uprated front braking system courteous of four-pot Princess calipers, stainless flexi hoses and 2.8 vented discs with Mintex pads offer ample safe stopping power.
Owned by a charming Ford fanatic for 27 years this incredible creation started life as a Mk1 Ford Capri 1600GT and was painstakingly transformed into a Cologne Capri RS3100 recreation. Well known in the Capri world parting with this beautiful vehicle was difficult and it is hoped the new owner will fully appreciate the labour of love, attention to detail and tremendous time that the previous owner poured into the project and therefore continue to show the car for all to enjoy.
An A5 pad with detailed hand written notes by the previous owner for the last 27 years in chronological order will help convince the new custodian how unique and special this car really is. From every oil change to major expense every minuet detail is documented. Amazing.

restore/rebuild a 1973 Ford Capri MK1 on our lunch hour(s) at the Eastwood
Company. Many new products were developed and tested on this car. Hope to

Amazing Vauxhall Cavalier Mk1 2000 GL, One Owner, 51,348 Miles, Full History - SOLD!

An original, late Vauxhall Cavalier Mk1 2000 GL with just 51,348 miles, one
family owner and full history from new.
Extra brightwork, matt black rear panel, body side mouldings with PVC
inserts, bright sill and wheel arch mouldings, adjustable front head
restraints, carpeted lower doors, laminated screen, boot light, cigar
lighter, quartz clock, push-button radio, vanity mirror, six pod instrument
Factory original Mandarin Red paint still retains a beautiful deep gloss
finish with absolutely no colour fade. There is no corrosion or rust and
the vehicle is structurally perfect. Small areas where paint work has been
treated with a touch up brush, mainly on the front valance, however, there
has been no attempt to fill or spray the car in these areas confirming the
cars honesty and originality. The engine bay has been regularly coated in
WD40 by the previous owner helping to preserve all inner wings. The car is
still fitted with the supplying Dealer number plates. The rear lower
valance protection has discoloured. The original tools, jack and spare
wheel are retained in the boot. A beautiful rare survivor.
Incredible. A true 1970's interior finished in unmarked Beige Ribbed
velour cloth trim, preserved perfectly by tailor-made matching seat covers
on the front seats from new (these have now been removed). All the trim is
factory standard and fully operational controls and gauges make this
interior remarkable. As a final run-out model these late GL specification
vehicles were fitted with GLS refinements making this interior very plush.
The two tone tan over black dashboard remains free from scuffs and cracks.
The heater fan is not working and the headlining around the 'C' pillars is
slightly discoloured. A perfect, comfortable cruising classic.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Being the more powerful '2000' engine unit the 1979cc OHC 4-cylinder
produces 100bhp and 113lb/ft of torque enough to make long outings a joy
and comfortable. A full complement of service invoices exist from new
leaving no doubt this car has been meticulously maintained. The 4-speed
all synchromesh gearbox is light and precise.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES.
Unblemished Rostyle sport wheels with excellent 185/70SR radials and chrome
bezel trims. The bezels are showing signs of pitting and would benefit
from being renewed at some point. Dual circuit, servo assisted braking
system, incorporating discs at the front and rear drums are positive.
Registered to a Mr Hallows on the 1st September 1981 by Vauxhall Main
Dealers, Vantage Garages of Timperley, Cheshire this car has had a pampered
life. Original bill of sale is accompanied by the Gold Seal Guarantee for
rust proofing and a receipt for the fitting of rear seatbelts from new. Mr
Hallows cherished the car throughout his ownership, keeping masses of
invoices and even letters he sent to Vauxhall requesting assistance on
maintenance matters, including their replies with technical drawings and
exploded diagrams. The car was passed to Mr Hallows' daughter and son in
law when he passed away and has benefited from the same enthusiasm and care
shown by Mr Hallows throughout his ownership. Supplying brochure from 1981
and all handbooks, service books, warranty books and instruction manuals
are supplied with the car. This is a truly cherished, rare car and
remains a perfect reflection of the manufacturer's intentions.
The vehicle is HPI clear.

Zakspeed Ford Turbo Capri
Zakspeed Ford turbo Capri beim AvD
Oldtimer GP 2012 auf dem Nürburgring. Peter Zakowski fährt das Original
Meisterschaftsauto von 1981, mit dem Klaus Ludwig damals gewann.
Das Fahrzeug ist mit dem kleinen Motor der Division 2 bestückt mit 1,4l
In beiden Rennen sah Zakowski die Zielflagge wegen technischer Probleme
nicht. Im Rennen 1 bedrängt er Oliver Mathai im Porsche 935 und im Rennen
2 räumt er binnen kürzester Zeit das Feld von hinten auf.
Sowohl nach dem Training als auch nach dem ersten Rennen wurde am Fahrzeug
umfangreich gearbeitet. Der Ladedruck ist noch nicht eingestellt und
deshalb hat P.Zakowski die Hand häufiger mal am "Dampfrad".
Vom turbo Capri wurden insgesamt fünf
Fahrzeuge gebaut. Ein Fahrzeug wurde zerstört, eines zu einem Mustang umgebaut, ein Fahrzeug wurde
von Herbert Stenger bei Bergrennen eingesetzt, ein Fahrzeug baut Stefan
Mücke in Berlin wieder auf und hier eben das 1981er Meisterschaftsauto bei
onboard race1 at 05:35

barn...last driven in 1981, been parked in the barn since then.
Test Drive the 1974 Ford Capri V8!
Hi! This is Agent 8771's 1974 Ford Capri, featuring a high-output 302 V8
and Borg-Warner T5 transmission hooked to a Ford 9 inch positraction rear.
This car originally had the wheezy Pinto 2000 cc engine and 4 speed trans,
so it is much better now. A nice, original, rust-free unit brought up from
the States to save it from the recyclers yard. Sweet vintage aluminum slot
mags, nerf bars, and diamond-tuft package tray finish this Capri off in
classic 70's style! Hope you like it as much as I do!
