EXTERIOR The Cologne Capri is a real magnet for enthusiasts and this stunning recreation is awesome. Finished in the striking Radiant Red and Diamond White colour scheme the quality of finish is obvious from the deep gloss finish that has been achieved. The lightweight fibreglass Cologne panels have been professionally fitted giving the car gorgeous flowing lines that look right at any angle. From the bonnet scoop, over the louvered rear window to the huge ducktail spoiler this example achieves instant respect and admiration. Difficult to fault other than a few tiny imperfections on very close scrutiny. Amazing and one for the Ford collector. INTERIOR Spartan, crude and rudimentary just like the RS3100 race-cars used in the 1974 European Touring Car Championships. A complete bolt-in roll-cage and two Cobra Daytona race seats offer secure anchorage for the OMP six point safety belts and leave the driver in no doubt that this vehicle is designed with fun and exhilaration in mind. A separate Shift-Lite tachometer and labelled switches and buttons only add to the 'race' feel but importantly all the creature comforts remain operational such as heating and ventilation! A modified sports cockpit functional but removed from road going examples. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The Ford Essex 3.0 V6 engine has been meticulously cared for with documented maintenance records and recognised modifications proving this as a usable vehicle developing 160bhp and not an unreliable unit requiring constant fettling. Unleaded cylinder head conversion, excellent oil pressure and an uprated cooling system make this a driving delight rather than a trailer show and shine exhibitor. Various chrome detailing can be seen beneath the diamond shaped strut brace once again 'wowing' expectant onlookers when the bonnet is raised. The four speed transmission offers perfect ratios and no whines, knocks or creaks exist but familiarisation is required before the driver can enter race mode! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES. Expensive Compomotive ML light alloy wheels finished in white with polished rims are pristine and offer 8" wide front and 10" wide rear profiles. Shod in new Avon Motorsport CR500 road legal tyres the look created is worth every penny! Uprated front braking system courteous of four-pot Princess calipers, stainless flexi hoses and 2.8 vented discs with Mintex pads offer ample safe stopping power. HISTORY FILE Owned by a charming Ford fanatic for 27 years this incredible creation started life as a Mk1 Ford Capri 1600GT and was painstakingly transformed into a Cologne Capri RS3100 recreation. Well known in the Capri world parting with this beautiful vehicle was difficult and it is hoped the new owner will fully appreciate the labour of love, attention to detail and tremendous time that the previous owner poured into the project and therefore continue to show the car for all to enjoy. An A5 pad with detailed hand written notes by the previous owner for the last 27 years in chronological order will help convince the new custodian how unique and special this car really is. From every oil change to major expense every minuet detail is documented. Amazing. HPI Clear, V5 correctly updated and ready to enjoy. Thinking of selling? Cologne Capri RS3100
The Cologne Capri is undoubtedly the rarest and fastest Capri ever built. In a rare barn find of sorts, Historic Racing TV discovered the ex Allan Moffat racer in New Zealand. We were super stoked to see the blue and white beast again and spent time shooting the breeze with the one of the luckiest blokes going around, owner Mike John.

The ‘Professionals’ Ford Capri 3.0S Recreation in Stunning Condition - £18,895
FOR SALE The ‘Professionals’ Ford Capri 3.0S recreation in stunning condition. EQUIPMENT Overriders, S bodyside tape stripe, black passenger door mirror, black rear spoiler, black louvred grille, halogen headlamps, integral front spoiler, tailgate wash/wipe, integral rear fog lamp, sports gearshift knob, quartz clock, trip meter, tachometer, ammeter, oil pressure gauge, handbrake warning light, heated rear window, aeroflow face level vents, two-speed heater, instrument rheostat, courtesy light. Factory Options: Remote control drivers door mirror, tinted glass. EXTERIOR This legendary and genuine Capri 3.0S finished Ford Strato Silver (code V6) has been created in homage to the iconic Capri’s featured in ITV's much-vaunted Series, 'The Professionals'. Needing little introduction to the seasoned blue oval enthusiast, the cars themselves were considered more a star of the show than hard man CI5 agent William Bodie and his sidekick Ray Doyle (Martin Shaw). The paintwork boasts a bright uniform finish with only minimal imperfections detectable upon close scrutiny. The bumpers, black louvred grille and trims sections are in perfect order indicating that the urge to drive the car through a carefully placed wall of boxes has been avoided. The bodywork lines are all straight and the panel fit and shut gaps are excellent. This instantly recognisable example is guaranteed to please the avid Ford fan wanting a solid and very presentable genuine 3.0S. INTERIOR This iconic models interior is distinguished by seats fully trimmed in the Black Carla fabric (code A1) with Black fabric surrounds. The upholstery is spotlessly clean and free from wear as is the matching deep pile carpeting. The three spoke leather sports steering wheel remains in excellent order, and all controls and gauges in the six pod dash are fully functional. The push button ford radio is operational although the original analogue quartz clock is disconnected. The soft feel dashboard is perfect and free from cracks and the rear package tray is pin straight and free from cut outs. The perforated headlining is clean, tight and free from discolouration. This fantastic 1970’s interior remains exactly true to Ford’s intentions, wonderfully nostalgic! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION With a choice of three engines this model is fitted with the range-topping Essex 3000 V6 with twin choke carburettor. A power output of 138bhp at 5000rpm enables a top speed of 124mph and a 0-60 dash in 8.0 seconds. Contrary to the common manual conversion, the standard automatic choke set up has been retained. Raising the bonnet reveals a very clean and presentable engine compartment. An intoxicating burble through the stainless steel Exhaust system is very addictive! The 4-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh to all forward gears operates as it should and the correct sports gearshift knob is the finishing touch. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The wheels have been upgraded to RS design 7 x 13in alloys which are in pristine order. Branded 205/60 R13 tyres are matching all round and have masses of tread remaining. The clean boot area houses the original jack secured with the rubber strap. The hydraulic dual line vacuum servo-assisted braking system was uprated by Ford at the factory for all 3000 V6 models to achieve prompt and steady stopping capabilities. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 20th May 1981, this later 3.0S was at the top of the Capri range before its replacement arrived in the form of the 2.8 Injection model. The 3.0S remains the ultimate desirable Capri and increasingly is the car you always promised yourself due to its rarity. The previous keeper and Ford collector, Mr M Williamson, purchased the car in 2013 with the aim to create his dream car, a Professionals recreation. Watching SAS trooper Bodie being played in heroic style by the late Lewis Collins wheel spinning the Capri wearing the fake registration 'UOO 303T’ is exactly what is possible with this car! A large history file contains a huge collection of receipts and invoices from specialist suppliers and restoration firms. Previous MOT certificates and original book packs are also included. Likely to appeal to a Ford aficionado who is keen to enjoy the show scene with this prime example. KGF Classic Cars however, cannot accept responsibility for any implications arising from a probable car chase involving a MkII Granada! MOT April 2017, HPI Clear.
