Car Vlog #5: Evo X vs Dodge Challenger
Hey everyone, Here's a short video on my way to visit my girlfriend. It's about a two hour drive between my place and hers. On my way over I had initially spotted a nice Subaru. I sped up to give it a thumbs up. After cruising along side the Subie a Dodge Challenger comes up next to us. Lucky for the Subie he got to exit while I was stuck with this guy... For miles he continues revving and doing flyby's passed me. I'm not really into drag racing or straight line races. I'm a fan of road races, touge, autocross, rallycross, etc. like Global Time Attack, F1, Super V8's, WRC, and so on. I keep waving my hand gesturing, "no thanks." I had a ton of camera gear in my trunk (I'm a photographer and videographer) including power generators, stands, cables, lenses, camera bodies, etc. I also had clothes and other things since I was staying with my girlfriend for a few days so my car felt heavy to me. But we eventually hit a long straight part of the highway, and coincidentally not one car in front of us. So the Challenger obviously gets excited giving me thumb-ups and pointing straight. I finally give in (which I shouldn't have). I gesture to him, "3 honks and we go." He nods and responds with a thumbs-up. We go from a 75mph roll. First run I'm gone... I assume that maybe he wasn't ready or he mis-shifted. Second run, I give him the option to do the 3 honk. He waves his hand, "no" and points back at me to do it. I'm assuming he wants me to do it... I say fine. When I'm about to honk he just guns it... O well, so I go along with it and pass him. You can hear in the video that it sounded like it took forever for him to shift. Must be a noob..? Idk... Anyways, third run he jumps after the second honk, but of the three runs it seemed to be the most fair/even and I still take him. He gives me the "not bad" face and gives me a thumbs up and takes off. Anyway, I don't know what mods he has. But here's my list incase you're wondering: - Cobb downpipe - Cobb test pipe - Cobb intake - Cobb AccessPort - Cobb 3-port BCS - MXP catback Exhaust - turboSmart BOV - Competition Clutch Stage 2 clutch kit - Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel - Custom protune @ 26psi on 91 pump gas
