Auch in der Speed Triple R leistet der 1050 Kubik große Dreizylinder (Triple) Motor 135 PS und 111 Nm. Aber die 'R'-Version ist mit einem Öhlins Fahrwerk ausgestattet, dessen Entwicklungsstand dicht an dem Material professioneller Rennserien wie MotoGP und Superbike ist. Deshalb wurde die Speed Triple R auch auf der Rennstrecke von Jerez getestet.

The Triple is very agile and easy to balance around twists and turns. Pity that Poland offers such horrible roads. Our member likes to touch the ground with 2 feet, here he could only tiptoe. He would also need shoulder girdle exercises since riding the bike for longer needs strong shoulders.
