Almost 40 years ago George Lucas made a movie about his experiences growing up in Modesto, California. The movie was called American Graffiti and was based on his high school years and the summer of 1962. American Graffiti is still celebrated in Modesto, California every year in June. Unfortunately in the home of American Graffiti the act of cruising up and down the city streets was outlawed by the Modesto City council several years ago, ending the actual activity which spawned the movie and the celebration. The people of Modesto, California still do what they can to remember the days of cruising of old. Every year in June the people hold several Classic Car Shows and even a Classic Car Parade. This year over 800 classic cars participated in the parade. Thousands came from around the area to celebrate the cars and the movie including several stars from American Graffiti... Bo Hopkins, Paul Le Mat, Candy Clark and movie vehicle designer, Gene Winfield. Blog Planet was there too. Blog Planet is a video collaboration of several people who are here to bring you informative and entertaining videos several times a week. Most places will charge between 150 and 300 bucks when the stepper motors are only about $5 each. The entire process start to finish (provided you have all the tools) will take about an hour...ish.
