Spec: cp piston 10:1 comp. bc cams 280 duration 11,43 lift. ferrea stanless 1mm oversize valves, bc titan retainers and springs. bc sportsman rods 200hp each. 6 total 1200 hp. clevite bearings, gtk 850 turbonetics, 1680 bosch injectors, e85 fuel. nira 3 ecu. vw coil on plugg, titan tensioner , tilton flywheel and 3 plated clutch. Full ported head. titan billet main cap, arp studs all over. goal is 870 hp at the wheel. Next year new turbo, 1200 hp turbo.

BBC - Horizon - aired on TV 1981 Williams Formula One team Winter testing with Alan Jones driving in December 1980 at the Paul Ricard circuit in Southern France. The day before testing started Goodyear Tyres had decided to quit F1 due to the ban announced by the FIA on "skirts". The FIA being based in France were subjected to increasing pressure from the Goliath corporate car manufacturers Ferrari (Fiat) and Renualt to ban skirts as their engines were the wrong shape to fully capitalise the use of ground effect in the design of their cars. This was the year before the turbo revolution hit F1 and there is a brief look at the development of turbo. Also features an in depth look at the Ford Cosworth engine and you are taken around the factory, design, hand building, performance and development of the engine. Includes appearences from the following. Frank Dernie (Head of Williams Research and Development) who currently works for the Toyota Formula One team. Frank explains the fundementals of ground effect and the importance of using skirts to achieve full potential. Patrick Head and Frank Williams.
