A BMW não esperou muito tempo para introduzir melhoramentos na sua S1000RR, apesar de na sua curta carreira já ter conseguido conquistar centenas de admiradores e vencido muitos comparativos na classe. A forma brilhante como se impôs no segmento foi também a razão pela qual algumas das suas limitações se tornaram evidentes. O comportamento brilhante do motor em altas fez com que muitos pedissem um pouco mais de disponibilidade em médias, e a estabilidade irrepreensível da ciclística evidenciou a menor maneabilidade do modelo nas zonas mais sinuosas. Relativamente ao motor a marca decidiu manter o valor de potência máxima mas, através da modificação dos mapas de gestão electrónica disponibiliza agora uma curva binário mais interessante nos regimes médio, conseguindo assim um comportamento mais envolvente desde as 6.000 rpm. Continuam a ser disponibilizados quatro mapas distintos, Rain, Sport, Race e Slick. O Rain é o único que limita a potência máxima, mas viu este valor aumentado dos 150 cv para os 163 cv. Em todos os outros o valor máximo é de 193 cavalos, mas são distintos os parâmetros de assistência ao nível da travamento, controle de tração e anti-wheelie. Ciclisticamente a alteração foi mais profunda do que parece. O quadro é diferente ao nível da coluna de direcção e do ponto de fixação do braço oscilante, sendo a nova geometria responsável por uma maior maneabilidade e rapidez de reações, sem que com isso se note menos estabilidade nas curvas rápidas. A suspensão traseira conta agora com ajuste de compressão para alta e baixa velocidade. Em pista a S1000RR revelou-se mais fácil de pilotar que a anterior, e uma interminável fonte de prazer. O seu enorme potencial está devidamente domesticado ao longo dos vários modos, sendo fácil e rapidamente perceptível perceber qual é o que melhor se nos adapta. Para mim chega o modo Race. Para os mais exigentes há o Slick, sem assistência na travagem e com o controle de tração e anti-wheelie pouco sensíveis, criado para oferecer a S1000RR em estado quase selvagem. Para uma utilização esportiva a marca disponibiliza ainda o HP Race calibration Kit, um software capaz de alterar vários parâmetros da gestão electrónica do motor e a sua interacção com o controle de tração e anti-wheelie. São quatro as combinações de cores disponíveis, branco e vermelho, azul, preto e Motorrad. O preço de venda a público só vai ser determinado em Janeiro. Fonte: Motociclismo.pt
