'67 Chevy Pickup with 392 Chrysler Hemi
Jim has owned this truck for 38 years. The frame-up rebuild was done in 2006, and at that time he installed the1958, 392 Chrysler Hemi, that he rebuilt (he used to build supercharged engines for street rods)......The wheelbase was shortened to 100 inches in 1974......This truck has a lot of history.....it towed and push-started his Top Fuel dragster (TF242) for 7 years covering over 400,000 miles. He took it for a ride on the local drag strip last week....I included a short clip of it at the end of the video.

This is a great Motor for your next Hot Rod / Rat Rod project. Runs strong no knocks or ticking solid 125 psi at each cylinder and no over heating!

426 HEMI Engine First Startup

Motes & Williams Twin Engine Dragster 3
The Motes and Williams car was `70 & `71 NHRA World Champion in Top Gas. In 1970 it won the Springnationals and World Finals. In 1971 it won the Springnationals and U.S. Nationals.I hope you enjoy my current Motes & Williams footage. This was taken Oct 2001, Mike Newkirk at the wheel. RC Williams and Greg Cook starting the car and me, I'm behind the camera. I don't remember, but this was one of the first times the car ran since we restored it. Wish I had my camera with me at John Laubhan's shop during the rebuilding.
426 hemi start and listen to hemi idle on 1971 Charger R/T
In 1971, Mopar decided to put a manual choke on the last year of the street hemi and this Charger R/T came with it. Sparing no expense, they used an old vent cable, turned it upside down, and put a red choke sticker on it. It is nestled under the dash with the airgrabber switch. This video is just a boring one of the start up of an absolutely cold engine, its warmup, idle and shut down. Enjoy and leave a comment. Check it out at http://www.marlia.com.
