2005 5 speed Corolla LE vs. 1986 Corvette (automatic) drag race 1
My new car vs. my friend's corvette. Corvette is bored out to a 5.9L. It has Magnaflow straight pipe Exhaust, long tube headers and torque cams. Corvette was low on fuel...it's possible that the fuel pump was suffering from the condition and was causing a loss in power.
1986 Corvette C4 Project part 1
Just got this 86 vette using Craigslist.com. The man I got it from is a mechanic and he was switching careers and was going to be away on the road so he did not want to just keep the car outside. That's where I come in, LOL. It's got alot of performance aftermarket parts and runs like a scared rabbit. I'll be testing it on the 1/8 mile after I'm finished working on it.
Corvette C4 1986 Frankenstein Restoration
This is my 1986 Corvette. My wife named him Frankenstein. Frankie for short. I restored this car from the ground up. It was a neglected C4 Corvette. I got the car with a new built up 350 engine. I restored the entire car myself. I painted it, reupholstered the seats, new black interior, weatherstripping, air conditioning system. I changed the 700R4 trans to a 4+3 Doug nash transmission. I also rebuilt the 4+3 overdrive myself. New tires, brakes, rack & pinion. Upgraded the alternator, new digital dash. I can go on and on, but lets just say. This car is like a brand new 1986 Corvette. It has it all. You wont find one swirl in my black paint. Its black glass. I have never done so much work on a car. I am keeping it for life.

The second run...Corvette got off the line like it should have. Fuel pump ran out of juice around 75mph in the Vette. Corolla stopped at 95.
