1962 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon
1962 Chevrolet Impala Station Wagon For Sale in Chicago. This 62 Impala
Wagon has a Big Block 454 4brl Chevy engine, rebuilt to stock
specification. The transmission is a 700R4 automatic and the rear end gears
are a 3.08 open. It was built for highway driving and has proved reliable
for the current owner. This 62 has made a recent trip to Tennessee with no
issues and just made an hour trip to our showroom. This wagon rear glass
was replaced with metal and painted to match the car, to give it a look of
a Sedan Delivery style body. Options on this station wagon are WORKING A/C,
power front disc brakes, power steering, tilt column with a Rally Sport
steering wheel, matching aftermarket seat belts, vinyl interior, 17" Foose
Chrome wheels with radial tires, full dual Exhaust system with stock manifolds, full
working Autometer aftermarket gauges in the dash, AM/FM CD Cassette DVD
stereo system, Lo-car floor shifter, and a light duty tow hitch setup. The
paint color is Turquoise with a nice Gray and Turquoise vinyl interior.
Also, this Impala is an Arizona car originally and is still very clean!

1961 PLYMOUTH SUBURBAN SPORT 4-DOOR WAGON, RARE WAGON
CARRYING ON WITH THE FORWARD LOOK WITH CHRYSLER PRODUCTS, PLYMOUTH STYLING
THIS YEAR WAS, WELL DIFFERENT. SPACE AGE BIZARRE DESIGN FIZZLED SALES.
IN FACT, ONLY 3,088 OF THESE 9 PASSENGER WAGONS SOLD MAKING THIS EXTREMELY
RARE. THE FINS OF THE FIFTIES WERE GONE AND REPLACED BY A HORIZONTAL
TRAILING EDGE TO THE REAR. BOLD CONCAVE GRILLE FRAMED BY FRONT FENDER
SWOOPS HOLDING DUAL HEADLIGHTS RESULTED IN A ODD FRONTAL LOOK. FLASHLIGHT
TYPE TAIL LIGHTS ADDED ANOTHER DESIGN ABSTRACT TO THE OVERALL LOOK. INSIDE
THE DASHBOARD WAS JUST AS BIZARRE AS THE EXTERIOR DESIGN. THIS WAGON IS
POWERED BY A 361 CID V-8 THAT CAME WITH POWERFLITE AUTO TRANSMISSION AND
AIR CONDITIONING. NOTICE THE PUSH BUTTONS ON THE EXTREME LEFT OF THE DASH,
THE OBLONG STEERING WHEEL, AND THOSE LARGE GAUGE PODS MOUNTED ON THE DASH.
THATS A NICE LOOK OF THE ROOF WITH THOSE RIBS RUNNING THE LENGTH. THE
INTERIOR IS PERFECT AS WELL AS THE TOTAL BODY CONDITION. I DON'T THINK OF
THIS WAGON AS UGLY, I FEEL IT'S A HISTORIC PIECE OF AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN. A
DESIGN THAT DIDN'T SELL WITH THE PUBLIC IN '61, BUT ONE CAN MAYBE
APPRECIATE THIS PLYMOUTH'S LOOKS TODAY. Another original survivor brought

1958 CHEVY NOMAD STATION WAGON - 1 OF 10 '58 WAGON CHOICES
Another example of a spectacular station wagon is viewed here. There were
3 '58 Chevy wagon models: The Yeoman, at the low end, mid-level
Brookwood, and at the top the Nomad. Here are the ten wagon choices: The
Yeoman 2-door, L head 6 & V8, Yeoman 4-door, L head 6 & V8, Brookwood 4-
door, 6 passenger, L head 6 & V8, & 4-door 9 passenger, L head & V8, and
the Nomad - four doors only with L head 6 & V8. This year wagons had
larger liftgate which were curved at the corners and hinged into the roof
and raised out of the way. Also this year, a newlow slung X member frame
containing an all coil suspension ridding the old rear leaf springs. The
L-head 6 engine is a 235 cid with 145 hp. The V8 engines are 283 cid with
a hp range from 185 - 290, and another V8 with 348 cid at 280 - 315 hp.
The weight of this 4 door Nomad is 3,771 lbs., and cost $ 2,835 at the
dealer. This Silver Blue beauty is another example of an excellent
restoration or a splendid original survivor, I couldn't tell you. But
take this all in and savor the look and feel of this great looking Nomad.

ALL THIS RARE STATION WAGON NEEDS IS A FRESH COAT OF PAINT. THE INTERIOR
IS IN GREAT CONDITION. THE GLASS, THE CHROME IS ALL THERE AND FLAWLESS.
SAME WITH THE GRILLE AND BUMPERS. THE BISCAYNE / YEOMAN STATION WAGON WAS
AT THE LOW END OF THE '58 MODELS. ALTHOUGH 1958 SAW 195,583 CHEVY WAGONS
IN ALL MODELS SOLD THIS YEAR, THE LOW END YEOMAN 2 AND 4 DOOR WAGONS WERE
A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF OVERALL CHEVY WAGONS SOLD. THIS ONE SOLD FOR $2,467
WITH THE L HEAD 6 ENGINE. THE L6 ENGINE WAS A 235 CID WITH ONLY 145 BHP.
SORT OF A WEAK ENGINE FOR THIS CARGO HAULER. BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN
ORDERED WITH A V8 283 CID WITH AS MUCH AS 230 BHP. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A
GOOD CHOICE OF ENGINE TO PULL THIS 3,740 LB. VEHICLE. THIS FEATURE WAGON
IS THE KIND OF ORIGINAL SURVIVOR THAT YOU WOULD LOVE TO RESTORE. ALL THAT
RUST AND WEAR TO SAND OFF AND APPLY NEW TROPIC TURQUOISE PAINT. IT APPEARS
THAT THE WHEELS HAVE BEEN REPAINTED IN ORIGINAL AEGEAN TURQUOISE PAINT.
THIS RARE WAGON IS INDEED READY FOR RESTORATION. Another original survivor
