OLDSMOBILE STATION WAGON TRIBUTE. NOT ALL OLDS WAGONS ARE REPRESENTED DUE TO THE LACK OF AVAILABILITY OF SOME YEARS AND MODELS. OTHERS OMMISIONS STEM FROM THE LACK OF OLDSMOBILE POWERED ENGINES. 61-62 F-85 USED A BUICK 215 V-8, MANY 78-82 CUTLASS CRUISERS USED A STANDARD 260 OLDS V8 BUT THE 305 CHEVY V8 WAS OPTIONAL, AND THE 91-92 CUSTOM CRUISERS ARE CHEVY POWERED COOKIE CUTTER BUICK ROADMASTER CHEVY CAPRICES AS IF MOST 77 AND LATER GM CARS ARENT COOKIE CUTTER CLONES ENOUGH. I WANTED THE CLOSING SHOT TO BE THE 1990 CUSTOM CRUISER. LAST OLDS V-8, LAST CARBUERATED GM ENGINE. THE OLDS V8 HAD COME FULL CIRCLE FROM THE FIRST OVERHEAD VALVE V8 IN 1949 WITH 303 CUBIC INCHES AND 135 HP TO THE LAST CARBUERATED GM
V8 WITH 307 CUBIC INCHES AND 140 HP.

The 1961 Corvair Lakewood Station Wagon!
You don't see many Corvairs these days. And you definitely don't see any Corvair station wagons.
This one, at the spring Chevy/Vette Fest, looks exactly like the one used in a color commercial where Dinah Shore was introducing the '61 Chevys.

Same blue, same white roof. I'm sure they built more than one. Still, if it could only talk and tell me if it's the same one that had its 10 seconds of fame holding Dinah's matching set of luggage.
