We attended the Internal Combustion BBQ held up in Irwindale CA. I had an opportunity to launch our new 580 HP 2012 ZL1 Camaro "Crystal" safely for the first time today to see how she handled. Absolutely great! Straight and hooked! For you fellow ZL1 Pilots, this is an Auto starting in M (no taps used) in PTM Mode 5 (Race/Active Handling Off), footbrake to 1,000 RPM then gently roll it on to the floor smoothly. This car can stop too!

It's back! The World's Greatest Drag Race returns with nine of the world's best supercars, sports cars, and muscle cars for 2012 facing off in an epic quarter-mile sprint for glory... and ultimate bragging rights! This year's field includes all nine contenders from Motor Trend's 2012 Best Driver's Car competition. We have the Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R Black Edition, Ford Shelby GT500, McLaren MP4-12C, Jaguar XKR-S, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Subaru BRZ, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 -- all gathered together on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. Obviously these nine competitors display a wide range of power and performance, not to mention price tags. So why are we lining them all up again for one gigantic, over-the-top drag race? It's simple... Because We Can!

I took my 2011 EcoBoost Ford Flex to the track, only mods are H&R springs for lowering and http://www.unleashedtuning.com/ - Torrie - SCT 91 octane base tune. It was over 100 degress when I arrived at tech inspection at 9:30 at night.
Jeep SRT8 race is the second race
To compare to a stock 2013 6.4L SRT8 Jeep which ran a 13.0@100 MPH this time is dead on for a stock 6.1L SRT8 with the high temps we had that night.
