Stock Eliminator Round 1 Eliminations LODRS Maple Grove 2012
Round one qualifying at the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Event at Maple Grove Raceway in PA.Saturday May 26, 2012. My apologies, I found out what my new camcorder doesn't like...as I sat through about five pairs of cars and didn't have access to record while it was restoring files...and naturally two of the best Stock wheelstands of the weekend occurred as I watched and couldn't do anything about it!
GoPro HD Hero: Top Dragster 6.49 @ 201mph!
During the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Texas Sportsman Challenge at Royal Purple Raceway on September 18, 2011; this is the first round match-up in Top Dragster of Chase Murray (me) versus Mallori McCullar Rodgers. We both came up through the ranks of Junior Dragsters and are now driving in the NHRA Top Dragster category which features rail-cars making 6 second, 200mph+ passes! Mallori is an excellent driver and is no stranger to the winner's circle. The race starts off with my .001 light to Mallori's .036. Because of my reaction time advantage, I catch her very quickly and find myself "whomping" the throttle in hopes to not breakout. In the end, I run 6 thousandths of a second too quick, while she is 2 thousandths away from a dead-on dial. Turned out to be a very close race with the Margin of Victory being .0086.
