Renault Twingo 2014 - Which? car first drive
The new Renault Twingo goes against all modern small car convention by
moving the engine and power delivery from the front to the rear. The engine
is positioned at a 49 degree angle under the boot floor. Not only does this
give more space for luggage, but also means in case of a rear end shunt the
engine is pushed under the cabin floor rather than into where the
passengers are sitting.

The Renault Clio Renaultsport hot hatch is hardly slow, but it's no match
for the Clio Cup racing car. Its 220bhp might not be a big hike in power,
but it weighs around 100kg less thanks to a stripped out interior and light
weight Exhaust. Not only that, but it
has a straight-cut sequential gearbox with lightning fast shifts and short
ratios, as well as slicks and, of course, race-tuned suspension. Matt Prior
goes head-to-head in the Clios at Silverstone's Stowe circuit.
