Front Engine Dragster built in five months
In December 2009 I got the idea that it would be fun to have a FED so I asked a few questions and read a few threads on the HAMB. After wieghing all the advice and suggestions I bought a set of Mark Williams blue prints and got started. With the help of a good friend or two I had a can the was ready to race at Eagle Field in May 2010.

Watch as several top fuel dragsters make there way down Main St. for the kickoff parade of the 2009 Frankenmuth Auto Fest. Right behind them are the COLOR ME GONE and GRATIOT AUTO SUPPLY race cars. To bring up the end of the parade is the crazy SHBOOM GONE WILD and the original flame throwin' ShBOOM. They are all quite the sight!

Nostalgia Dragster
My dad's Flathead powered Nostalgia front engine dragster. We broke a piston at our last race and couldnt get pistons in time for this one, so we machined our own on the lathe and balanced them and everything. The car ran a 13.40-something or other in this run, which is about what it will do. Next years plans include 331 Chrysler Hemi

Iron Horse Top Fuel Dragster (c1971) Firing Up.MOV
The 1971 dragster Iron Horse that raced for only one season and now being displayed at Nostalgic Drags events. Perfectly restrored and preserved. by Sam Chastain who brought the Iron horse from his home in Mokelume Hill, California. The car was originally owned by famous drag racer Dan Richens of Salt Lake City, who was a railroad engineer, hence the name. This car was amongst the first in the Western States (except CA) to break the 6 second barrier and was the last of the front-engine top fuel dragsters.

FE dragster fire up new engine
Starting up the family front engine dragster "bojangles" with its new engine for the first time. Its a Ford 351 windsor stroked to 427 methonol injected making 600hp should be good for low 8s.
