This Buick Special has been with the same loving owner since 1974! But during the first part of its life this Buick Special was living the dream under the ownership of a lady living in Los Angeles, CA. There is still an oil change sticker in the door jam showing this classic 1949 Buick Special was serviced right on Hollywood Blvd.
This 1949 Buick has the factory 248-cid straight eight motor which was standard on all Buick Specials of this era. The straight eight Buick engine produces 110 hp and it delivers power to the rear drive wheels through a three-speed transmission. The engine number of this particular '49 Buick is 52468544.
The current owner purchased this '49 in 1974 from his Dad's business partner. The Buick served as his wheels during the last three years of High School in a small farm town in central Wisconsin. But since the owner lived only two blocks from High School, he walked every day. As a result only about 2000 miles were put on the odometer of this Buick during that time. After the owner went away to college, his father and brother would take the old Buick out a few times per year to keep things fresh. But even so, the odometer still only shows 78,898 original miles.

1938 Buick Special Convertible Dynaflash Straight Eight Engine - Rumble Seat
I thought you'd like a look at this very original 1938 Buick Special Convertible. This beauty is powered by the original and super smooth Dynaflash straight eight engine, which is backed by a 3 spd manual trans. This car is also equipped with the always desirable rumble seat out back. In addition to the rumble seat, there is also a separate trunk space for the spare tire and luggage. This car looks just like it would have back in the late 30's...it really is a rolling piece of sculpture. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for watching!

1941 Buick Roadmaster 4door Convertible Grn
An amazing car, beautifully restored! This car was definitely luxurious...one of the last four door convertibles that would be built until Lincoln got back in the business in the 60's. Frazer did build one in 1951 in a last gasp to save the make.
Notice the beautiful dash and steering wheel...genuine works of art! Shapes were symmetric on the dash, seemingly an art deco influence. The turn signal lever was placed on the right side of the steering column..and it lit bulbs in the parking lamps and center signal light in the back.

Very nice all original, numbers matching 1951 Buick Super 56C Convertible. This is a really nice convertible that would make anyone proud to own. Original straight 8 engine and dynaflow transmission. Car lived it's life in California until 2006 and was on the cover of "Collectible Automobile Magazine" in August of 1995, the magazine does come with the car. Lots of options for a 1951 including; power windows, power convertible top, power front seat, and clock. The car is a heater delete car, in California, heaters were an option on 1951. New paint was professionally done in 2007. New windshield, new carpet, newly recovered interior side panels, and new white wall tires. Other than those few things, the car is completely original. You won't see too many 51 Buick Convertibles, much less in this good of condition. This is a rare find indeed. This car is ready for the spring shows and cruising with the top down.
