My new $50 Chevette
I picked up this '86 Chevette from a friend of mine for $50. He said it ran
quite poorly and was a pain to drive. Really...?
The only thing I've done to this car so far is clean the junk out of it.
Mechanically, I have yet to touch it. There are a couple of minor issues
with it, such as the door not closing properly and the broken door handle.
Other than that, it works great!
1985 Chevy Chevette
Sorry for the quality, video was taken with my phone.
Anyways here's a crappish walk around of my brothers 1985 Chevy Chevette.
Basically me having a hard time unlocking the door, pushing random buttons
and knobs and trying to figure out how to shut off the whipers.
1977 Chevrolet Chevette - Dealership Film
Second model year of Chevrolet's "new kind of American car" for 1977.
Transferred from super 8mm film taken from a sealed Technicolor-branded
cartridge designed to be played in a GM dealership. Sorry about the sound -
it is obsolete optical sound where dust causes pops and crackles.
1978 Chevrolet Chevette - Dealership Film
1978 was the third model year for this small car and a promotional film was
shown in some Chevrolet dealerships to prospective buyers. This was the
last model year for a Monojet carburetor, 2-piece grille, and round
headlights. "Chevette: It's got a lot going for you!"

In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1986 Buick Century
Limited. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior
of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting
unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the
details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A
thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall
appreciation of the vehicle.

'86 Pontiac Acadian ( Chevette / T1000 ) Repaint
This car has an automatic trans, and the body is surprisingly good, not a
huge amount of bodywork was needed before painting. 134,000 K. on the odo.
No holes in the rockers, just a few in the floors, mostly near the sills.
The rear wheel well lips needed some TLC. I found someone on Kijji selling
Chevette parts, bought some stuff, including two sport mirrors, which are
now on the car. I painted it with Imron Elite Express, & then clear coated
I had this same model & year of car 20 years ago. My wife & I drove
it for 5 years, & then traded it in on something else, as it was getting a
bit rough. Had I rust proofed it, It would have lasted a lot longer - did
it ever rust badly the last year we had it! It had the 5 speed, which
helped a lot, as 65 hp isn't much motivation. I bought it with 87,000 k, &
it had 237,000 when we got rid of it. We drove it to NFLD, and to Edmonton.
Lots of gear changing in Northern Ontario! They were tough little cars, I
hope whoever has one takes good care of it, they're getting rare.
I drove this car strictly in the summers, & stored it in my garage for
the rest of the year.
