2012 Hyundai Azera (Grandeur) promo
Positioned between the Sonata and the Genesis, the 2012 Hyundai Azera will come onto the market next summer and feature the automaker's latest take on the `fluidic sculpture' design philosophy. The video shows the South Korean market Grandeur but the car sold in the U.S. should be very similar. It appears to be a very stylish sedan, with the best elements of the Sonata and even some influences from Hyundai's Equus flagship featuring.

Hyundai refers to a group of companies and related organizations founded by Chung Ju-yung in South Korea. The first Hyundai company was founded in 1947 as a construction company, and the Hyundai Group eventually became South Korea's largest conglomerate company (chaebol).
The best well-known Hyundai organization is the Hyundai Motor Company, the world's 5th largest automaker selling mid-sized sedans, coupes,SUVs and large vans like the Sonata, Genesis, Genesis Coupe, Santa Fe, and the Grand Starex(Starex or H-1). Hyundai Heavy Industries is the world's largest shipbuilder, and Hynix is a top semiconductor producer. Other companies currently or formerly controlled by members of Chung's extended family may be loosely referred to as a part of the Hyundai chaebol.
The Hyundai Group underwent massive restructuring following the 1997 East Asian financial crisis and the founder's death in 2001. Today, many companies bearing the Hyundai name are legally unrelated, with each company having a different chairman. Former components include Hyundai Group, Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, Hyundai Department Store Group, Hyundai Heavy Industries Group, and Hyundai Development Group. After the separation, Hyundai Group focuses on elevators, container services, and tourism to Mount Kumgang.
A Hyundai - do coreano Hyeondae (ou 현대) que significa "tempos modernos" - é uma marca sul-coreana de automóveis, fundada em 1946. Somente dois anos depois, em 1948, começou a construir viaturas na época tinha um acordo com a empresa norte-americana Ford para produzir carros desta marca apenas para o mercado interno.
Só em 1974 foi construído o primeiro carro da marca Hyundai, desenhado e concebido em exclusivo pela marca, o pequeno modelo Pony, que foi apresentado nesse ano no Salão Automóvel de Turim, na Itália. Contudo, o Pony utilizava tecnologia dos japoneses da Mitsubishi, como o motor, a transmissão e a suspensão. O modelo foi desenhado pelos estúdios de design italianos da Giugiaro. Em 1976 a Hyundai exportou o seu primeiro carro, precisamente um Pony. Seis anos depois, o Pony II foi apresentado, já com uma linha mais moderna, e em 1984 atingiu um total de 500 mil viaturas produzidas. Nesse mesmo ano foi apresentado o modelo Stella.
No ano seguinte a Hyundai estabeleceu-se também nos EUA, na mesma altura em que foi lançado o Excel e em que foi inaugurada uma nova fábrica na Coreia do Sul, capaz de produzir 300 mil viaturas por ano. No ano seguinte a Hyundai atingiu o total de um milhão de carros produzidos e apresentou um modelo de luxo, o Grandeur. Em 1987 lançou-se no mercado dos mini-autocarros e dos caminhões. Em 1989 montou uma fábrica destinada a construir motores V6 e no ano seguinte lançou o coupé esportivo Scoupe e o luxuoso Sonata.
Em 1991 apresentou o primeiro motor de fabrição própria, nomeado Alpha, para três anos mais tarde lançar outro propulsor, este com o nome de Beta. Ainda em 1994 lançou o modelo Accent, com motor Alpha, que viria a ser um grande sucesso de vendas. No entanto, a associação com a Mitsubishi manteve-se e esta marca fornecia motores para os modelos Elantra e Sonata, de maiores dimensões.
Em fase de grande expansão, a Hyundai apresentou em 1996 dois novos modelos, o esportivo Tiburon e o Sonata III, tendo ainda lançado o Dynasty, um carro de luxo.
Entretanto, a crise económica vivida em 1998 levou a que surgissem diversas fusões na Coreia do Sul e a Hyundai comprou a Kia em Novembro desse ano. Isto formou o grupo Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. No entanto, sempre manteve diferenças a nível de modelos entre as duas marcas.
A Hyundai foi patrocinadora da Copa do Mundo de 2006.
No ano de 2007 a Hyundai lançou o i30 no salão de Frankfurt.

Yes, it is not the muscle car, but compare to 4-cylinder diesel cars in Europe (almost all of the cars in EU) it is luxury sound. I am happy to have it.
