1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Drag Car Racing @ Memphis, In Car Video
Some old school VHS camcorder in car footage of 1/8 mile passes I made at Memphis Motorsports Park back in 1990. Stock bore and stroke 455, 850 Holley, all motor, 5000 TCI Stall, TH400, 9" Ford with 4:10 gears. Car is setup to run the 1/4 mile. On the second time trial I'm running the dragster you see in the still picture before the video. I tried to tree him but was a little early, note how easily he drives away from me. We've probably got about the same power but he's at least 1200 lbs lighter, must be nice!

69 GTO Leaving Mississippi National Golf Course
The 2008 Land of Lakes GTO Club Fall Cruise left Mississippi National Golf Course on Saturday Oct 11, 2008 for an all day cruise around southern Minnesota. We had 31 cars on the cruise and we were about 9th in line leaving the start. Notice Sue J in the 68 Camaro almost fall into the back seat when Gary J punched the gas. My brother Don is driving the 462 powered Goat.

Few cars from the 60s capture the rare blend of performance and attitude of early GTOs and that has made them extremely hot collector cars in today's market. At Vanguard Motor Sales in Plymouth, Michigan, we sell a lot of nice Pontiacs, but this 1967 hardtop is the car you've always dreamed of owning. Covered in beautiful red paint, it's a highly optioned car that has only been beautifully restored.�
The restoration began with bodywork that was performed to a very high standard. The panels are straight, show no ripples or waves and fit precisely. On top of those straight panels, the red paint provides an incredible finish. The hood features a tachometer. The white vinyl top is in pristine condition. The end result is a jaw-dropping 'Goat' that will get fans talking when you pull into the show.
Raise the hood and the first thing you'll notice is a killer 467 Stroker Motor with 484 horsepower and 510 ft. lbs. of torque. At the sides you will see Edelbrock heads and intake and a W/750 Holley Street Avenger. In front of the motor is the new aluminum radiator with electric fan, as well as the clutch fan for cruising on hot summer nights. Dig a little deeper and you'll find all new brakes, cylinder, master cylinder and Richmond ring and pinion steering. There is also a hidden shut off switch to prevent any unwanted drivers taking your GTO for a spin without you. This 467 purrs like a tiger should!
Underneath the car, you'll find that the chassis is every bit as well detailed as the engine compartment. The M22 Rockcrusher wide ratio 4-speed transmission delivers power to a
355 to 1 posi-traction rear end. This GTO features all new springs, new ball joints and tie rods. Exhaust duties are handled by a Doug Headers and Masterflow Exhaust. Keeping the car connected to the pavement are Cragar wheels and Cooper tires.
Inside the car you will find the redone red vinyl buckets that present as new with seats that are firm. All of the wood veneer in the dash and on the console is in great shape, as well as all of the stainless. The dash pad looks new and houses the gauge package. In between the seats you will find the console and Hurst shifter. An Autosound stereo with 6 disc changer in the glove box sounds amazing thanks to the amp that is mounted in the trunk. The electric antenna is also a plus. Under the deck-lid, the GTOs spacious trunk has been properly restored with correct spatter paint and includes a new mat, a spare and a correct jack decal.

Five engine choices for 1969 meant that Pontiac's GTO had something for everyone. The original owner of this '69 GTO coupe chose the 400/350 HP V-8, which along with its 350 horses cranked out 445 lb-ft of torque at 3000 rpm. Coupled with a Muncie 3-speed manual transmission, that power-plant served up plenty of power at a reasonable cost; today, it makes this well-cared-for GTO quite a rarity. While its Espresso Brown metallic finish has been renewed with a single repaint, the interior, including the carpets, is all original and in fine shape. Like all the cars from the Hollifield collection, are rare & like this GTO are in marvelous overall condition.
