When it's very cold out, the Neon needs to be plugged in to start reliably. As you will see, a few hours with the block heater makes all the difference.

Real Drivers: Dodge Neon SRT4
Although Vermont teased us with warm weather last week, and many specialty vehicles emerged from their winter hibernation as a result, it cooled off quite a bit before this shoot could be arranged. But while this film of Andrew Corvo's sleeper SRT4 may be dotted with snowflakes instead of pollen, it's still an opportunity to learn about a very unique (and powerful) vehicle.

Water pump should be replaced as well on the Dodge Neon while you are under the timing cover. This 2.0 Liter engine is an interference fit so if the belt breaks there can be engine damage - i.e. valves bending Be aware of the special tool(s) needed for removing and replacing the timing belt and water pump on the 2002 Dodge Neon 2.0 Liter. (This is true of other years as well)
