This first race of the new TUDOR United Sports Car Series Championship
marks the 52nd anniversary of the Rolex 24 at Daytona—a race Mazda
factory drivers have won 23 times, in class.
Behind the wheels, this time around: Sylvain Tremblay, Tom Long, Joel
Miller, Tristan Nunez, Tristan Vautier, and James Hinchcliffe.
Their top-flight Prototype-class Mazda machines are powered by SpeedSource
Race Engineering's latest tuned versions of the Mazda SKYACTIV-D®
clean-diesel engine that helped earn Mazda the 2013 Grand-Am GX-class
Manufacturer's Championship, after nine straight wins.
And like their predecessors, these Mazda SKYACTIV-D® race engines are also
fueled by the same "chicken guts" clean-diesel synthesized by Dynamic Fuels
from food processing remnants, in a renewable, 100% carbon-neutral process.
