Lower Engineer Pass - Subaru Forester Off Road
This is Part 2 of our September 14, 2014 off road day trip to Silverton and
Ouray, Colorado. Part 1 was Placer Gulch, this video shows us getting back
to HWY 550 by taking the always fun and challenging Lower Engineer. I talk
a lot more in this video than normal. Because: Starbucks.
Video taken September 14, 2014.

Turbo 5spd Subaru SVX at the track
Phil's turbo SVX 5spd running only 3.5
lbs of Boost, turning pretty decent
14.5 second tmes. Keep in mind most SVXs run mid to high 15s, or low 16s!
They were NOT built for the track, they were designed as highway bruisers,
NOT street racers. :) So knocking a full 1.5-2 seconds of the stock time
is pretty good. :)
Subaru AWD vs. Everyone Else
This video was a recap for Subaru Sales Associates and affiliates that
participated in a driving event pitting Subaru against its core
competition. These tests were repeated thousands of times, with the the
Sales Associates experiencing each event for themselves. This was NOT meant
for public consumption and is therefore not a propaganda video. This video
was a review for those people who experienced this driving event
themselves. All vehicles were stock, had stability and traction control
enabled if equipped, and were operated using the manufacturer's recommended
tire pressures. While this video depicts individual instances, these tests
were performed thousands of timeswith thousands of participants over a
period of two months. The intended audience of this video experienced first
hand the documented results.
Cash for Clunkers: 1994 Subaru SVX
Here is a very rare 1994 Subaru SVX that will soon be crushed under the
Cars for Clunkers Program. These All-Wheel Drive cars from the early 90's
are pretty rare. Its been years since I seen one on the road.
2013 Subaru BRZ top speed run

At the end of May I got a call from the Subaru dealership telling me my
2013 BRZ Limited had arrived and was ready for me to take delivery. After
a grueling 1,000 mile break-in period I was looking forward to see what the
car was capable of. I shipped the car to the autobahn to do some high
speed runs in the car and attempt the top speed. The car is limited by its
aerodynamics unfortunately so I had to get a good stretch which favored the
car which allowed me to get up to 147 MPH. This isn't very high speed
compared to other exotic cars but for a 200HP Subaru I was very impressed
seeing what it's capable of on the top speed spectrum! For those of you
who don't know this is a rear wheel drive Subaru and the car is fantastic
to drive along with drifting ;)
