Dodge Charger 1968 blown hemi
this is Nick suckow's car in September 2008 before it was stolen. If you have any information about this dodge charger please let me know. http://www.weau.com/home/headlines/33732019.html# Back in 1984, high-schooler Nick Suckow bought himself a '68 Dodge Charger. He was gonna fix it up and roar down the road. Nick was born a gearhead. A hot rod. From the first time he drove, he drove hard. The redline was always at hand. When he joined the Army out of high school and shipped to Germany he got hooked on the autobahn, where you could ease over to the left lane, stomp the foot-feed flat, and shoot, they just let you go. "Fast," Nick likes to say, "isn't the same as reckless." All that racing around, and then life served up a grim little joke: The day Nick Suckow wrecked - the day his life changed forever, the last day he ever stood on his own two feet - he was going 35 miles per hour with his seatbelt on. He'd been married two weeks. He and his wife were on their way home from their Wisconsin honeymoon, making the run back to Texas in Nick's Gran Prix. They were towing a rusted-out Ford Bronco - Nick always had his eye out for a cheap beater, and he had found one up north. On a rough stretch of road Nick crawled in the Bronco to keep it straight. The front tire hooked a pothole. The tie rod snapped. The seat belt broke. He landed in the ditch. The Bronco landed on his neck. Nick says he remembers the sun in his eyes. Then the darkness closing in. A lot of years, then. Hospitals. Home. Hospitals. The marriage ended. Back to Wisconsin. Rehab, and more hospitals. The speed demon, not going anywhere fast. But eventually he had them drag that Charger out. Arranged to get it in the shop. Whenever he had a little money, he'd get some work done. "They whittled away at it," he says. "I told my mom, if I die, dump my ashes in the fuel tank, and I'll go down the drag strip one last time." Seventeen years. Seventeen years of learning how to live from the neck up. Seventeen years of whittling. Hed show you the latest pictures - a quarter panel here, a shot of primer there, a couple tires. He'd get down to the shop, supervise in person when he could. He couldn't run the wrenches, but he could run the show. He'd sneak out for a little speed fix sometimes - once a paraplegic friend strapped Nick's chair to a motorcycle sidecar and they blew down the road, one good pair of arms between'em. Nick says it was good to feel the wind on his face. On a sunny day in October of 2006, Nick Suckow's pals helped him slide from one set of wheels into another. They strapped him in the passenger side, and you could see the anticipation on his face, even behind the mirrored shades. The car cruised out of the lot, and then picked up speed, the blower making a Mad Max whine as the wheels warmed to the road. After a nice easy ride, the Charger pulled to a stop on an isolated little stretch of blacktop. There was a quiet moment, before the driver wound that 426 fuel-injected blown Hemi up tight. Then Nick Suckow gave the nod and went fishtailing down the blacktop on a journey that had never really ended. http://www.musclecarrestorations.com/suckow.html

Coolest Used Car Lot / Vintage American Cars ? Middle of Desert
Driving through the desert in Los Angeles county (Hi Desert) & spotted this used car lot. It was worth pulling over and checking out. I want the white 1971 chevy short bed with the 350 combo or the red El Camino SS. The tank van runs, I like that too. Our northern Canadian friends need that one for the snow.

1969 PRO STREET CAMARO SS WITH 750+HP NEW UPDATE NOW FOR SALE AGAIN!! ASKING $59,950 OBO!!!!
Ok Camaro fans here we go. I am selling this car again for the current owner. This is one beautiful pro street 1969 Camaro ss. It is a beautiful Black on Black with just a little hint of white in the SS emblems, BF Goodrich white letter tires and the interior white gauges to set it off. This makes for one stunning Camaro. What makes it pro street/touring, well for starters. This is a X-11 car. This is a original Camaro SS 350 car. The car does not have the 350 or the 350 tranny anymore, there history but in there place is a totally new professionally built and installed 468 engine, which is a 454 bored .30 over. This is new with about 300 miles since done. The engine is built up with cam and has gear drive and some other internal goodies but it's what is on top that counts which is a 671 Weiand fully polished pro- street super charger blower assembly with dual Holly carbs. This is the top of the line Supercharger that Weiand makes for a big block chevrolet. The engine is pushing out 750+ horsepower. The car has a temp controled electric fan with a new radiator. The car also has tranny cooler installed. Now the motor takes up so much room the heater box had to be removed but, your not going to be drinving this kind of car in any cold weather so out it came. Everthing on the motor and motor compartment is polished stainless steel, aluminum or chrome. Every nut & bolt, bracket, pulleys, throttle assembly, linkage, alternator, water pump, master cylinder, power Booster, well you get the idea. If anyone is interested please call me at 570-875-7109 to see more picture and a full description. Thanks for your interest... Marty

German Street Rod Nats 2008, Hamburg St-Pauli
This year the German Street Rod Association organised together with the Street Magazin crew a large All-American-Get-Together Event in Hamburg -- St.Pauli. The Fairground was right in the middle of the St.Pauli Redlight Destrict, the Reperbahn. It was not a family orientated place, but hey, most guys had lots of fun. If you ever visited this area, you know what we are talking about .... Our local Frankfurt Rodder Crew did some Hamburg city sightseeing tours, we had a nice weekend there. There was a special pre-49 area at the fairground for the street rod guys and gals. www.goodguys.info

Most relaxing sound for men - Old-School American V8 Corvette C3 1979 (Stingray)
Includes Cold engine idle, warm idle and a bit of revving to about 4500 RPM. I decided to create this video since my Vette now sounds quite loud thanks to the Cherrybomb glasspack Exhaust and removal of the catalyst. The Exhaust is basically stock. I think this is one of the most relaxing sounds for men who are into cars and machines :) Engine: 5.7 L (350 cid) V8 L-48 Transmission: Warner 4-Speed Manual My Corvette is generally in very good condition and it has already been restored once in USA some years before it arrived in our country. I got the car in a state where the exterior + drivetrain were fine, but the interior needed new carpet, some painting and several other components in order to look great. I'm now pretty much done with the interior. The engine used to have issues but those were mostly external (bad thermostat housing, bad spark plug wires etc.). By now the engine is a pleasure to drive, but the Rochester Quadrajet carburetor has hard time keeping the pre-selected idle speed and sometimes wants to hold it higher, then lower. It might be also some extra fuel leaking in from somewhere occasionally. There used to be some vacuum leaks but I've taken care of them. Perhaps I will replace the intake + carb with an Edelbrock setup for next driving season. The engine compression has been measured recently and the results were perfect for all cylinders. NB! We will soon try to film the Vette from another car when driving on a motorway. I'm hoping to get some good footage that way.
