Chevy Monza causes cows to stampede
A supercharged Chevy Monza practicing drag race launches on the back roads of New Mexico (surrounded by cattle ranches). Local cattle are at first startled by the mere sound of the car starting up, then curiousity gets the best of them as they come back to see what all the noise is about. The first launch sends them off on a stampede. The second launch is more than one cow can take as it begins bucking wildly.

Hopewell Valley Central High School Auto Club Drag Car. It has been in production for 2 years, and this was the first time it was driven under its own power. It has a built small block Chevy 350 .030 over, Vortec heads, pretty radical cam (flat tappet, hydraulic), Holley 750 carb, Edelbrock rpm air gap Vortec intake. Trans is a TH-200M. Broken in properly, this is the first drive after it was completed. We'll be racing it at Englishtown this summer.

schon fast zur Tradition ist es geworden ganz kurz vor Weihnachten ein Video mit noch nicht gezeigten Bildern der abgelaufenen Motorsportsaison zu veröffentlichen. Bisher waren es stets - wenn auch zufällig - Aufnahmen aus Fahrzeugen der Marke BMW. Mit lächerlichem Hubraum von gerademal vier Litern im Getrag M3 vor Jahren.
Im Rahmen der weltweiten Krise, hoher Spritpreise und dem Ausbleiben der vor Jahrzehnten versprochenen Klimaerwärmung möchte das diesjährige Weihnachtsspecial ein Zeichen setzen.
HUBRAUM STATT TANNENBAUM!
Kaum ein in 2011 von mir mit Kameras ausgestattetes Fahrzeug eignet sich dafür so hervorragend wie der 1976er Chevrolet Monza des Franzosen Gilles Ceron.
In den Siebzigern beschloss Chevrolet in LeMans zu starten und brachte so eine Art Ziegelstein auf Rädern an die Sarthe. Mit dem Cw-Wert eines 40Tonners und einem Design, daß der Feder eines Vierjährigen gut stünde, wurde man damals belächelt. Zumindest bis zu dem Moment als 8 Liter Hubraum das Ungetüm vorwärtsschoben.
Die kurvige Ardennenachterbahn von Spa Francorchamps ist sicher nicht das ideale Terrain für den Klimakiller, doch es reichte beim Rennen der Classic Endurance Racing für Platz 6 in der Klasse hinter Raketen wie Porsche 935 und Ferrari 512BBLM.
