FINALLY!!! Time to install the heads! Used stock LQ4 head gaskets, MLS.
Felpro factory replacement head bolts. And a torque angle adapter from
Autozone (no idea what its actually called).
With the heads being installed, Im able to pretty much button the rest of
the motor up. I only have a few more major steps before I can put the
motor in, and get the ball rolling with assembly of the rest of the car!

of the progress!

The motor mount adapter plates used in this video place the engine one inch
too far forward. You need the adapter plates called the "One Inch Set-back"
plates. They'll place the engine and trans perfectly so that you can use
your original driveshaft without modification. They can be found on eBay
for $60 shipped.

My bird with a Lq4 and LS3 top end. After the tune it put down 423 HP to
the wheels with 400 LBs of torque. The smoke is from a improperly
installed PCV system:)

V8 features a Callies crank and connecting rod and breathes thorugh CID LS3
port design cylinder heads. Watch as it makes over 700hp still retaining a
hydraulic roller camshaft running on pump 98-octane RON unleaded. [
