Humvee Shootout! Banks Power Armored Humvee vs. Stock M1116 HMMWV! - Head 2 Head Ep 43
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman pits an American icon against itself. Since 1984 AM General's Humvee has served as the U.S. Military's primary multipurpose workhorse. However, after adding nearly three tons of armor plating, the already slow, ill handling beast gets slower and clumsier. One solution is to replace it with a new truck, but that would cost us a fortune. The other comes from Banks Engineering, which adds more sophisticated turbocharging as well as a revised, active suspension. If the Humvee is going to go down in history as the truck version of the B-52, it needs upgrades similar to what Banks is selling. That said, the Banks Humvee does cost a good deal more than the base Humvee. However, it's a much cheaper alternative to something like an MRAP or the Oshkosh L-ATV. But is it that much better than the regular production Humvee? Watch and find out! 2014 Audi RS5 vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 507 Coupe! - Head 2 Head Ep. 51
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman sets out to discover which German hot-rod-personal-luxury-coupe is the best you can get. The 507 Coupe is the last iteration of the W204 C63. With the exception of the very limited-run Black Series, it's the best C63 that AMG has ever done. Under its hood sits a hand-built, 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V-8 good for 507 horsepower. What more do you want? Perhaps something more high-tech, and that's where the Audi RS5 comes in. The sexy coupe from Quattro GmbH in Neckarsulm features a 4.2-liter V-8 that spits out 450 hp. That¹s less power than the 507 Coupe makes, true, but the Audi also features AWD, a dual-clutch transmission, bigger wheels and tires, plus a trick torque-vectoring rear differential. Which one is quicker? Which one is more fun to drive? Which one is best? Watch and find out! All three of these cars are faster than many modern sports cars. Combined, they have almost 1500 horsepower. But of course we wanted to know which of these powerful vehicles is the fastest from 0-60 MPH. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel 0-60 MPH First Drive Review: Jeep Week video # 5
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The brand new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel will get 30 MPG on the highway...at least that's the number Chrysler says the 2WD version of the Jeep can get on the highway. With a new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel is the most fuel efficient model in the Jeep Grand Cherokee line-up. But perhaps more importantly it is also one of the most torquey. While the Diesel engine only produces 240 HP, it manages a massive 420 lb-ft of torque. In this exclusive TFLcar first drive video review we test how fast the new 2014 Diesel Grand Cherokee will go from 0-60 MPH. FYI: The Jeep Week Videos include: 1) Jeeps in the snow 2) Wrangler On-Road Review 3) 2014 SRT Grand Cherokee on Austin F1 Track 4) 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee off-road Review 5) 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel Review 6) 0-60 MPH Mashup New SRT Grand Cherokee vs BMW X5M vs Porsche Cheyenne GTS 7) 2013 Jeep Wrangler Snow Drive review

2013 Chevy Equinox v Ford Explorer v Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Mashup AWD Tech Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The brand new 2013 Chevrolet Equinox and the Ford Explorer and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Overland don't have a lot in common. However all three of these vehicle have a very different approach to powering all four wheels, in other words, they all have one form or another of all-wheel-drive and terrain management technology. We thought it would be interesting, informative and fun to try these three very different AWD vehicles off-road in a real world test to see which one can best handle our Colorado Mountain off-road terrain. In this battle of 4X4 people haulers we take all three vehicles up our standard rugged Colorado trail to see which one can make it all the way to the top. Check out another fun and real world TFLcar Mashup test as we get wet, muddy and rocky in this off-road AWD technology comparison and review.

2014 / 2015 RAM 1500 Eco Diesel Review and Road Test
Check out my other videos! http://vid.io/xqoB Who is Alex? Find out here! http://vid.io/xqoF There's just something about a diesel pickup truck that makes grown men regress into Tonka-loving children. Even my Prius-driving environmentalist friends in Berkeley admit they secretly want a diesel pickup. The problem of course is that diesel pickups are expensive (the cheapest diesel Ram 2500 is $36,975 and it doesn't have an automatic transmission, the cheapest oil-burning F-250 is $38,250) and, for the majority of us, the high payload and towing capacities are overkill. While economical in a specific sense, the large diesel trucks aren't "fuel-efficient" either. Until now. Mark your calendars folks, The 2014 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel is the half-ton truck in America sporting a small diesel engine. Although new in 2010 and refreshed for the 2013, the 1500 is undeniably a Ram. That's because Chrysler prefers evolutionary rather than revolutionary styling when it comes to their volume truck. That's not a bad thing, since the 1994 style cues that have lived on were sexy back then, and still attractive today. The big-rig front end still captures my attention, but despite my family's Ram addiction, I find the 2014 Silverado's nose to be the better looker. As with most redesigns, the front end got bigger, brasher and has more chrome than ever before. In 2007 GM purchased 50% of the Italian engine maker VM Motori. The logic was that GM needed a smooth Euro compliant diesel engine for the Cadillac CTS (and other models) in order to compete with the Germans. Sadly, GM declared bankruptcy between the engine being designed and the engine actually being used so it sat on a shelf. In 2011 Fiat bought the other half of VM Motori and found the engine gathering dust. Fiat had some quick tweaks done to the engine to make it more suitable for their use and the EcoDiesel V6 was born. While there was much talk about GM getting their hands on this same engine for Silverado duty, Fiat recently snapped up the other half of VM Motri making this a Fiat/Chrysler engine in every way that matters. The high revving single turbo aluminum-block V6 engine produces 240 horsepower and a stout 420 lb-ft of torque. If those numbers sound impressive, consider this. The first 5.9L Cummins engine Chrysler used in the 2500 and 3500 series RAM trucks produced 94 fewer ponies and 20 fewer twists. In the biggest statement of progress I have seen in a while, that Cummins also delivered its power via five fewer gears. Like the rest of the Ram 1500 lineup (except for one model with a 5.7L HEMI), all 1/2 ton Rams now use ZF's 8-speed automatic transmission. If you're worried it's just a passenger car transmission that's not up to the task, ZF's 8-speed transmissions are also found behind the insane twin-turbo V12s that the Germans love so much.

Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk II Concept Revealed
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Four standout features stand out on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II concept. This baby comes with the outstanding 3.0-liter, turbodiesel V6 that makes 420 lbs-feet of torque hooked up to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Mopar tow hooks, rock rails, skid plates and beefy 35-inch Micky Thompsons mounted to Mopar Wrangler wheels complete most of the package. Jeep cut larger wheel openings and lifted the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk II to squeeze the rubber underneath. As cool as they look, they rub a bit when the steering is angled at full tilt. Check out this TFLcar first drive review of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk II Concept from Moab, Utah.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee First Drive Off-Road Review: Jeep week video # 4
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of a handful of vehicles that is truly off-road worthy. For 2014 there are now a total of 5 different Jeep Grand Cherokee models with 4 engine choices. In this exclusive TFLcar first drive review we take the brand new diesel Grand Cherokee off-road to see how the massive amounts of diesel engine torque really work when the road disappears. Is the new and refreshed Jeep Grand Cherokee worth the premium price that the new Summit model now demands? That's a question that Roman and Nathan try to answer as they drive through the hills of Texas. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit 4x4 On and Off Road Test and Review
Check out my other videos! http://vid.io/xqoB Who is Alex? Find out here! http://vid.io/xqoF Join me as I take the completely refreshed 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit for a spin. We take the Jeep off road, on road, talk infotainment, the new LCD instrument cluster, the new 8-Speed Torqueflite automatic transmission designed by ZF, discuss AWD systems from Quadra Trac to Quadra Drive II, engine options, pricing and more. 2014 brings a trimline reshuffle to the Grand Cherokee with the Laredo X being replaced by a cheaper Latitude E and the the Overland Summit ditches Overland to become a separate trim sitting at the top of the range. There is more going on here than just a trim re-shuffle if you read between the lines. In 2013 the "Overland Summit" was the Grand Cherokee with all the luxury AND all the offroad bits. In 2014 the Summit is the realization that people don't take their $52,000-$57,000 Jeep rock crawling any more than Range Rover owners joyride in the Sahara on weekends. As a result the 2014 Summit looses the skid plates and tow hooks found on the lesser models and doesn't get the option to add them from the factory. Chrysler limited the refresh to a new, de-chromed tailgate, new bumper covers, Exhaust tips and a headlamp re-style. In addition to the removal of the strangely large chrome strip below the tailgate glass (see our 2013 review for that picture), Jeep has gone up market with more aggressive tail lamps and more differentiated trim levels. Laredo and Limited models get redesigned bumper covers with round Exhaust tips while the premium trims get trendy trapezoidal tips. Further cleaning up the Overland and Summit models, the hitch receiver and 4/7 pin trailer wiring connector are hidden behind a panel in the bumper. Speaking of towing, the factory towing setup is not available on base Laredo models anymore. Want to haul? You have to step up to that Laredo E. Up front the grille has become less prominent and more integrated into the plastic bumper cover. The optional foglamps have shrunk to an almost cartoonishly small proportion and the lower air intakes take on a more aggressive stance. Jumping up to the Overland and Summit models swaps the larger healamps for the ones you see in the picture at the top of the review. The unit incorporates LED daytime running lamps and headlamp washers in the black plastic strip under the lamp module.

2012 Land Rover LR4 vs Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Land Rover LR4 and the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee are two of the most off-road worthy family haulers that you can buy. Both can be had with a massive V8 engine and both come with all-wheel-drive to take on the wild Colorado West when the road turns dusty. Both also have the pedigree to call themselves the very best off-road rides that you can buy today. In this TFLcar mash-up review we see which one of these two legendary off-road rides is better in the Colorado Rockies. Is it the 375 horsepower Land Rover LR4 or is it the HEMI powered 360 HP Jeep Grand Cherokee?
