1968 Ford Mustang GT
The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by the Ford
Motor Company from 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of
automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang's styling, with its long hood
and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of imitators.
Changes for the 1968 model increased safety with a two-spoke
energy-absorbing steering wheel, along with newly introduced shoulder
belts. Other changes included front and rear side markers, "FORD" lettering
removed from hood, rearview mirror moved from frame to windshieldThe
fastback model offered the option of a rear fold-down seat
The Mustang fastback gained
popular culture status when used in the crime thriller Bullitt (1968). Lt.
Frank Bullitt, played by actor Steve McQueen, drove a modified Highland

1968 Mustang Custom Coupe
1968 Mustang Custom Coupe
Poll every classic car enthusiast out there about their favorite classic
ever made and you can bet Mustang will be high on this list.
The true American muscle car has a huge following with various car clubs
and car shows being dedicated to them alone. However, with all those Mustangs when is the last time
you saw one you could say is custom? They has a great look from the
factory but the 1968 Mustang Coupe you see here has some
custom accents that really set it apart. In a field of Mustangs we can guarantee this one
would draw a crowd just because it is unique. The body is coated in a
custom burnt Orange Metallic that is packed with pearl. It has a beautiful
shine and really pops out in the sun. The car was once used as a promo
vehicle for Texas University so the classic Shelby side stripe has been
painted in white with a custom Longhorn. A newer Shelby style hood is in
place and along with the 1 piece rear deck spoiler give it some very cool
body lines. Front fog lights as well as a front apron are also Shelby
style components in place. All of the chrome is in very nice condition
with cleanly mounted front and rear bumpers. The glass is all nice and
clear with nice stainless throughout. In the rear you will find the
taillights have been totally customized. The original style 3 lens
taillights have been duplicated creating 6 lenses for each light. All of
the lights work and look awesome to each side of the aftermarket billet gas
cap. American racing torque thrust wheels sit underneath each corner and
the tires have plenty of tread.
The customizations don't stop with the exterior as the drivetrain has been
entirely updated. A 302 5.0 HO motor along with the transmission was taken
from an aftermarket Thunderbird and put in place. The cover has been
painted to match the exterior and has 5.0 Ford HO engraved on the top
aluminum panel. The motor starts up well and runs with no issues. The
brake, steering, and suspension system are all in good condition and
operate as they should.
The interior has the original style Mustang look but has been customized
as well. The seats are done in a two tone White and Black with the center
Black sections being a diamond tuck style. The seats are very comfortable
and the car allows plenty of leg room up front and for the back passengers.
Along with the drivetrain came a later model T handle shifter that you
will find cleanly mounted to the floor board. The dash has all of the
vintage style woodgrain paneling but instead of the boring original gauges
you will see a nice Dakota Digital system staring back at you. Everything
illuminates blue and looks great being mounted in the original bezel. Also
important to note is the Carroll Shelby signature found on the passengers
side dash. A wood grain steering wheel is in place which any Mustang enthusiast will tell you is a
tough find, especially in good condition.
This is one cool classic that continues to be popular at every show it goes

Mercedes S-Class Coupe Concept INTERIOR
The white instrument panel exudes sensual clarity. Its curved shape is
reminiscent of a whale fluke just before it re-enters the water. Like the
entire interior it is dominated by flowing lines: the upper and lower wave
create a clear structure.
The upper section of the instrument panel seems to float sensually in front
of the dashboard as a so-called top layer. The instrument panel seamlessly
transitions into the doors in a wrap-around design. The wavelike motion
continues in the door panels.
The ventilation nozzles, which among other places are housed as a
four-piece cluster in the centre of the instrument panel, have a futuristic
and highly detailed design: fins that route the air stream surround an
oblong hole. The ventilation nozzles are designed to add contrasts and are
made of a mix of white aluminium with a ceramics-like appearance and
brushed and polished aluminium.
The aluminium control elements have a functional and clean design, and
provide an exciting contrast to the organic and avant-garde shapes that
On top of the free-form surface under a reduced hood are the 30.7-cm
(12.3-inch) screens familiar from the new S-Class. They have an aspect
ratio of 8:3. In the Concept S-Class Coupé the fully glazed colour
displays are even slimmer and seem to float even more freely. As high-tech
elements they offer an exciting contrast to the sensual landscape of the
instrument panel. The colour scheme of the displays is bluish and
consequently sporty and modern.
A touch screen showing four world clocks is located on the centre console.
The driver can choose which clocks to display: To do so, the driver first
scrolls on a globe in the display and selects a time zone before a
drop-down menu offers the corresponding city selections. The world clock
concept was designed and implemented by designers and engineers at the
Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design Center in Palo Alto, California, USA.
The central command unit on the centre console looks like a shiny jewel.
Its extremely high-quality "black diamond" surface creates depth of field.
The "black diamond" method uses the chemical CVD (chemical vapour
deposition) gas phase process to deposit a precious metal on a high-sheen
chrome surface at temperatures of 1000°C. The metal reacts with the
surface to form a layer that is highly scratch-resistant and has a high
The door panels of the Concept S-Class Coupé are made from aluminium.
Using computer algorithms delicate topographic lines were milled into the
metal and mimic the contours of the door-mounted control elements. This
creates an interesting light pattern with tiny sparkling highlights. For
this creation the designers drew their inspiration from rock formations in
Utah, USA. The progressive perforations of the loudspeakers were also
generated using algorithms and display some intelligent aesthetics of
Like the entire interior the seats have a highly dynamic and natural "flow
of lines" and continue the sculpted design of the shapes. The front seats
evoke associations of haute-couture tailoring because their sculpted shape
embodies sensual lines reminiscent of figurines in fashion design. In the
upper section of the seat the side bolsters envelope the occupant like a
collar. The vertical lines of the seats come courtesy of an array of
delicate piping. Piping on the side bolsters provides contrast and like the
perforation of the seat surfaces is a factor in the sporty-elegant
The choice of colours and materials plays with the extroverted contrasts of
anthracite and white as well as aluminium, and bolsters both the timeless
modernity and avant-garde nature of the design and the claim of the Concept
S-Class Coupé to ultimate exclusivity, high quality and perfection. In
this spirit the instrument panel and seats are made from supple calfskin.
The roofliner of the vehicle is made from hand-woven silk and consequently
underscores the exclusive character of the interior.

65 Mustang Fastback Restoration Project
This is my 1965 Mustang
Fastback I rescued from a field rusting away. I finished it around July of
2008 in my back yard garage with no professional assistance at all. It took
me about 26 months to complete. It has a 302 Ford motor and an 5 Speed
manual transmission. I restored this car to the information on the original
data plate on the door that included the body color and interior. The
stripe is unique in that I added a darker red to the Poppy Red body color
to get a stripe that is a little darker but blends in with the factory
color. This car features four wheel disc brakes made from all Ford parts.

1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback Restoration (oct.13 1964)
Restoration of Jody's first car. He bought it when he was 14 from the
original owner. We restored it to original except the side mirrors and
shift knob which the car had when he bought it all those years ago. This is
an A code, 289 4 barrel, 4spd, Disc brake, A.C. from the factory, a GT
package before they called it a GT. Built Oct 13 1964, fastbacks did not
start production until Sept 64.
