first time out racing the diesel rabbit, 2 days after buying it, on one hour of sleep after spending 36hrs straight preparing it for this race. It was a high-adrenaline environment, and I was wearing steel toe boots!
Managed to beat an integra, a talon AWD turbo, a lotus elise turbo, a bigblock corvette and a rotary powered mg before getting eliminated. what fun!

DD 453-T runs away! rack gets stuck on valve cover. almost lost some fingers too, it was all i could find. F'ed up new turbo compressor wheel, was only damage thankfully!
Corvette Crashes During An AutoCross Event
This is the first time we've ever witnessed an accident at a speed ventures autocross. It was a pretty fast track and it was his first time up since his last break so the tires were pretty cold & so was the track. Unfortunately the driver never touched his brakes after he lost control. The driver was shaken up quite a bit, but he walked away.

My friends and I rescued this rabbit that sat for 18 years under a tree. Took about 30 mins of tinkering with to get it running. Diesel's are fun.

Autocross Louisville Kentucky
Here's a little autocross montage I shot on September 27, 2009. This was the first time I had ever seen autocrossing before. I was able to get a ride in the last black corvette shown in the video. It didn't take me very long after the ride started to realize why we needed to wear helmets(your head gets banged around the interior a lot).
This was a really fun day and I had a great time.

this car has all service records since new. the original owner (multiple business owner) spent thousands on service/maintenance my hat off to him. things i did as part of maintenace valve adjustment, new belts, including timing belt and tensioner, water pump, clutch cable, 2 tie rod assembly , 2 f a g front wheel bearings , 2 rear wheel bearing kits , 2 meyle ball joints , 2 new wheel hubs 2 control arms , 2 cv/trans seal kits , 2 rear struts assembly, meyle expansion tank, thermostat, oil baffle in valve cover, ac recharged with freeze 12, 4 new fuel injectors, trans flush, car has a/c, p/b, p/s, 5spd just been buffed seats and carpet shampooed and is ready for dubs on the boards and h2o international car shows. car has 200000 miles on it. comes with original window sticker, original vw dealer brochure for 83 turbo diesel rabbit. this car lived in georgia it's whole life (no road salt). this factory turbo rabbit is rare but in this original rust free condition makes it even more rare. car is a 1st place show winner.
