McLaren MP4-12C vs Honda Civic BTCC racer vs Honda Fireblade British Superbike
We know the McLaren 12C is other-worldly fast. But how does it compare
against a Honda Civic British Touring Car Championship racer and a British
Superbike Championship-winning Honda Fireblade?

We took a McLaren 12C to Rockingham Motor Speedway to face its toughest
challenge yet. Could it outpace a Honda Civic BTCC racer driven by former
champion Gordon Shedden and the pairing of 2013 British Superbike champion
Alex Lowes and his Samsung Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade? Which would set the
fastest lap? Would the Civic's superior grip make up for the power deficit?
Would the McLaren be too much to match on the straight? Or would the 'Blade
offer a blend of light weight and high performance impossible to match?

Frank Wrathall - 2012 Dynojet Toyota BTCC Driver
BTCC fans favourite and 2011 rookie of the year, Frank Wrathall, is already
making his mark in the 2012 British Touring Car Championship.
After Frank Wrathall's crushing championship victory in the BTCC-supporting
Ginetta G50 Cup sports car series back in 2010. Promotion to UK
motorsport's 'premier league' swiftly followed, with Dynojet Racing taking advantage
of the new 'Next Generation Touring Car' rules to pioneer the introduction
of a car new to the BTCC, the Toyota Avensis.
Despite the huge leap for driver and team, the results and media exposure
have flowed. Podium finishes in the second half of the season, wins in the
Independent drivers category and valuable live TV exposure on ITV4 & ITV4HD
have catapulted Dynojet Racing and Frank
Wrathall into the limelight. Frank claimed 12th place overall in the 2011
standings, netting the Rookie of the Year title after scoring 4 podium
finishes. Frank was also awarded with the BTCC.net Fan's Trophy award.
Keep up to date with Frank in 2012, find him on Twitter, Facebook and
obviously at the race track.
