Grey Bentley Continental Supersports Coupe - Walkaround, Scenes, Pictures
I Cannot believe i'm saying this, but this is the SECOND Continental Supersports Coupe i have seen and recorded. The SECOND one found by me. Only 2 Continental Supersports Coupes have been found in the UK outside of london, both from me. It's Crazy. Anyhow a little bit about this one. It was painted in Grey, in my opinion a really awesome colour. It came with some stunning black wheels too. An all round brilliant colour combination in my opinion. It was parked at the Ceder Court Grand Hotel, like most of my spots are. I'm a regular at the hotel so some of the valeters tend to tell me where i can find some spots at. One of the valeters told me that it was staying at the front for about 2 hours before it left, however i didn't have time to stay with it. Very unfortunate. Still, a brilliant car. A better example than the first Conti SS i found at Clifford's Tower. The profile of the car is pure Continenal GT, however what the Supersports differs from the GT is a lot actually. The Continental SS has the same W12 engine that powers the GT, but the Engine is Uprated to 621bhp. The Engine is Bentley's first engine that can run on either Petrol or Bio-Fuel (E85). The Continental SS may have been lightened to be a much faster and more responsive Bentley, but it still does weigh over 2 Tonnes. However, because of it's VERY Powerful engine, 0-60 is dealt with in 3.9 Seconds, and it will keep on accelerating to an impressive 204mph. This Makes it the Fastest and Most Powerful production Bentley, EVER MADE. And it's a Very good contender to the Aston Martin DBS and the Mercedes CL65 AMG. Braking would seem to be a problem for a 2 Tonne car going at 200mph, but the Supersports uses Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic disc brakes which are the Most Powerful and Largest Brakes ever fitted to any Production Car. Braking isn't a problem for the Supersports then. A Really good find i reckon. Beautifully engineered and goes as well as it is engineered, really impressively. Some might say the color is matte black, but I'd rather think of it as a dark-grey satinated look, if that makes any sense... hope it does lol. Anyways, "dark-side" will have to do lol! It's a monster car, and the color looks awesome in real life, hope it really shows. Plates are from Qatar, and this car was always with the blue Bugatti Veyron Centenaire. Combining effortless performance with an interior that is the epitome of the coachbuilder's art, the Continental GT is a prime example of a grand touring-oriented exotic luxury coupe. The Continental's standard engine is a 6.0-liter, twin-turbo W12 that pumps out 552 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque and sends its power to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. With a 0-60 time of just 4.4 seconds, a quarter-mile performance of 12.8 seconds and a top speed approaching 200 mph, the Continental GT is a supercar in every sense. The Continental GT Speed gets the twin-turbo W12 Boosted up to 600 and torque is upped to a whopping 553 lb-ft. The GT Speed was the most powerful automobile Bentley ever produced until the introduction of the Continental Supersports, which cranks out 621 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. However, this power is matched to 100 fewer pounds thanks to carbon-fiber parts and the removal of such items as the backseat. Extensive retuning of the suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes allow the Continental to display some semblance of delicacy and agility on winding roads. As one might expect, the Bentley Continental GT comes loaded with features. Highlights include 19-inch wheels, parking sensors, four-zone climate control, xenon headlights, adjustable suspension damping, 14-way power front seats, a navigation system and a 300-watt, 12-speaker audio system. In addition to its more powerful engine, the GT Speed gains 20-inch wheels with 13 dual spokes, darkened chrome mesh grilles (upper and lower), diamond-stitch leather upholstery, three-spoke steering wheel and other upgraded interior trim. The Supersports sacrifices some of these features for the sake of weight savings. Options include the Mulliner Driving Specification Package (20-inch wheels, unique leather upholstery and upgraded wood trim), carbon-ceramic brakes and lumbar massage for the front seats. Adaptive cruise control, an iPod adapter and a 13-speaker Naim audio system are also options, but for this type of money, they should be standard. The Series 51 option of pre-selected interior treatments adds "51" badging, 20-inch polished wheels, three-tone interior color schemes, unique upholstery with contrasting piping/stitching and exclusive wood veneers.
