Niki Lauda's smart fortwo mhd fuel test
The Ex-Formular 1 Champion, Niki Lauda, drives the smart fortwo micro hybrid drive (mhd) with start-stop automatic in a fuel consumption competition against his son, Mathias Lauda, DTM driver in the AMG Mercedes team. The route is around 35 km through Stuttgart. Lauda senior needs to use as little fuel as possible. Lauda junior can drive without any restrictions. In the end Lauda senior used 1.25 liters less than his son and only arrived at the goal a few minutes later.
