Lamborghini Countach QV 1200 mile drive back to the UK - evo Magazine

Evo magazine's editorial director and founder, Harry Metcalfe, drives his Lamborghini Countach QV the 1200 miles back from the Lamborghini factory in Italy, all the way to his house in the UK. The route included a blast along the Route Napoleon, a dash across central France and a trip on the Eurotunnel. Finishing off the next morning at his home in the Cotswolds.

In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the very rare and quite bold 1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole. Only 658 examples were produced from 1988-1989 before the introduction of the Diablo. " The rear 'air boxes' were restyled and enlarged, while the vents behind them were changed so that they ran front to back instead of side to side. In addition, a new air dam and side skirting, both with air intakes, were fitted, and the taillights were restyled to be narrower, with body-colored panels replacing the upper and lower parts of the previous large taillights. The styling changes were unpopular with many, particularly since the intakes had strakes in them that appeared to mimic those on the Ferrari Testarossa, but they improved the engine's cooling, a problem the Countach had always struggled with. It also featured 345/35R15 tires; the widest tires available on a production car at the time " (Wikipedia). During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Lamborghini Countach Ride
DtRockstar1 takes a ride in a Lamborghini Countach 5000s. This is an extension to my 2,000 subscriber special, including an exciting cruise with this Lamborghini Countach and a Ferrari 355. I did not notice much of the complaints that James May made about the Countach - no smell of petrol, it wasn't deafening loud, it wasn't hot (I actually still had my coat on), and the clutch wasn't that heavy (that was me revving the car at the beginning.) The only thing I noticed is that it wasn't very comfortable, and it was CRAMMED!! But who cares, it's a COUNTACH!!! They are known to be temperamental, so I wonder if James May would have a different experience if he tried driving another Countach?
