Evo 9 came out to the '12 DSM/EVO Shootout looking for the stock turbo world record. They claimed the record and
almost touched 9's! Some more seat time and high 9's should be a breeze.
Impressive for the cars first track appearance.
Dsm Shootout 2012 Compilation
Some clips I put together in a hurry. I bought the camera the day before
the shootout, so sorry about the quality. Next year ill be more prepared
with a tripod and better camcorder. I have some from the stands also a
friend recorded, just wanted to get something together real quick. Will
post some more soon.
The video starts with the first pass I recorded on sat. The passes are in
order as they happened. Some turned out terrible, so didnt make the cut.
It was hard for people not to get in the way. The last pass is the quick
Ostar Motorsports DSM 900+ HP 2012 Pre-Shootout
We decided to change to a built block for the dsm shootout this year, so we
built a block and changed out the ignition system to make sure we would not
have any ignition issues. Other than that, the setup remains the same as
what the car had prior when we ran on the stock block.

Fuel Injector Clinic
1G AWD Fuel Pump Re Wire
Does the sound of your fuel pump oscillate when you turn on your blinker or
change pitch when you simply press the brakes??? If so, you may benefit
from re-wiring your fuel pump. This will take power directly from the
battery and send it to your pump(s) using a relay and larger wire. This
will feed the pumps a constant 13-14 volts. This will allow you to get the
most out of your fuel pump(s).
Some people only see 10 volts at WOT through the stock wiring for the fuel
pump. This effectively makes the fuel pump smaller due to the loss in
voltage. So if you think your single 255 is out of fuel and you are still
on stock wiring, this would be a very worthwhile upgrade.
The sizes for relays and fuses will vary depending on the draw of your pump
or pumps and if you are activating one or two pumps. When I ran a single
pump I used a 30amp relay and a 15 amp fuse in the feed wire. With dual
pumps I run a 40amp relay because the 30amp's are known to get hot and
stick open. I run a 25amp inline fuse for the dual pumps.
