Zakspeed Ford Turbo Capri
Zakspeed Ford turbo Capri beim AvD Oldtimer GP 2012 auf dem Nürburgring. Peter Zakowski fährt das Original Meisterschaftsauto von 1981, mit dem Klaus Ludwig damals gewann.
Das Fahrzeug ist mit dem kleinen Motor der Division 2 bestückt mit 1,4l Hubraum.
In beiden Rennen sah Zakowski die Zielflagge wegen technischer Probleme nicht. Im Rennen 1 bedrängt er Oliver Mathai im Porsche 935 und im Rennen 2 räumt er binnen kürzester Zeit das Feld von hinten auf.
Sowohl nach dem Training als auch nach dem ersten Rennen wurde am Fahrzeug umfangreich gearbeitet. Der Ladedruck ist noch nicht eingestellt und deshalb hat P.Zakowski die Hand häufiger mal am "Dampfrad".
Vom turbo Capri wurden insgesamt fünf Fahrzeuge gebaut. Ein Fahrzeug wurde zerstört, eines zu einem Mustang umgebaut, ein Fahrzeug wurde von Herbert Stenger bei Bergrennen eingesetzt, ein Fahrzeug baut Stefan Mücke in Berlin wieder auf und hier eben das 1981er Meisterschaftsauto bei Zakspeed.

CULT CAR - THE FORD CAPRI
The Ford Capri is an iconic car. From its development in the late 1960s it became hugely popular and well-loved, instantly recognisable on the streets of 70s Britain, as much a part of that decade as kipper ties and flared-trousers! It even became a TV star in the hands of 'The Professionals!' Although it finally went out of production in December 1986, many of these vehicles are still in existence, lovingly cared for by individuals and groups of enthusiasts all over the country. The Capri's best-remembered advertising slogan was 'the car you always promised yourself' and, in the knowledgeable company of John Hill, chairman of The Capri Club International, we met up with some Capri owners who made that promise come true. We take a closer look at this wonderful car and see it in action, come rain or shine! Move over Bodie and Doyle!

Ford Capri V6 GT Skid Pan
Here's a vid of me flogging my Capri GT on the skid pan. It's not a great video or necessarily a great piece of driving, but you don't see (or hear) many original V6 Capris going sideways in Australia these days. Also has amusing commentary and a mechanical failure towards the end. Enjoy!
Ford Capri 3000GT Essex V6
This is my old 3 litre Capri - the bodywork needs restoring however, the tuned and balanced engine is still very sweet and sounds great (shame about the blowing Exhaust!)
