Supercharged Cadillac Escalade - 2 New Chrome Mechman High Output Alternators

This is a build i did a long time ago. The owner left the system on for a week and killed the batteries DEAD by doing so. He also destroyed the alternators too because the worse thing you can do to an alternator is try to charge a dead battery with it. The 5 batteries were replaced with XS Power D3100's (previously odyssey 2150's) (click here to see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz_1JLtKyJA ) and the alternators were replaced with brand new Mechman 270 amp units (previously Iraggi alts). visit mechman alternators website here: http://www.mechman.com Thanks for watching and if you subscribed, THANKS AGAIN! Installed: 4 High Output 350+ Amp Alternators "SMD Spec" Mechman - 2001 Chevy Tahoe
as you may or may not know, i have decided to change alternator brands after many years of using the same manufacturer. The brand i had before was great, but i put these things through so much torture that the time came to replace some of them. This time i decided to try out some Mechman Alternators. Before they were built though, i wanted them painted to match my Tahoe. Matt at Mechman sent me the empty shells and i took them to my favorite painter Roy Devore at "Autobody Workshop" and had them shot. After that was done i sent them back to be put together. These things are MONSTERS! Click here to see some of that process on video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7BQ6FnCTNQ That link also explains what they are doing to make them "bulletproof"......if you want to see the outcome and testing on this alternator, click here: http://www.youtube.com/mechmanalternators#p/a/u/2/mDpYvxDjfwU They have actually been on for a couple of days and so far they are AWESOME! I think the Mechman website is currently under construction so call or email him (865) 522-6166 or mlogan@mechman.com for a quote. Also, last but not least, visit my website! are you curious to see just why i need 4 Alternators? click this link http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com and see for yourself. Supercharged Cadillac Rezcalade EXT 10,000 Watt ZAPCO System
This is a project i finished back in 2006. It is Chickens '04 SMD Cadillac "Rezcalade" EXT. As seen in the pages of Truckin' Magazine September 2006. Click this link to see it http://www.http://stevemeadedesigns.com/home/smd_ink_truckin.php Its a long story, but basicly Chicken hit a curb so hard with this SUV, it folded the wheel like a taco (search "taco job 26" on youtube) and destroyed 2 wheels. They were out of production and we couldn't find replacements anywhere. It took about a year of us debating what to do next before i realized, like a dummy, that they are 3 piece 26's. That means as long as the center is good, the rim is fixable! I had both of the wheels repaired by my wheel guys at AZA ( http://www.azaforged.com ) So after replacing the wheels, i got him some new tires. Kumho Tires SUCK so i got Pirelli 30/26's for it. I also replaced all the rear batteries and the front one with a XS Power D3100 ( http://www.wccaraudio.com ) . The old alternators were removed and replaced with Mechman Alternators, 300 amps each. Also used was a new Gates HD belt - a MUST for multiple H.O. Alt situations. I tuned the system with the new DD-1 and for now, its back to normal. We plan on doing more, but only time will tell. The reason its being flatbedded, because i know someone will ask (yes, even after i said it twice in the video) is because i cant drive two cars by myself. Its easier for us just to call our boys at Tow Pro and transport it. For now, its back home, running nice, sounding good......and Chicken is happy. The system Consists of: Pioneer Headunit Audio Control Processing 2 Zapco 4kw Amps 1 Zapco C2K 4.0 4 RE MT 15" Subs Rockford Fosgate Mids/Highs 2 Mechman 300amp Alternators 5 XS Power D3100 Batteries Alligator/Suede Interior Lexani 26" Wheels Pirelli Tires Baer 6 Piston Brakes MagnaCharger Supercharger Subscribe for more! 8 18" Woofers Shaking the Concrete + B Legit at Chicken Hill Studio
visit my site: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board As you might know by now, Chicken and Hallway Productions have been working on a west coast collaboration for over a year now. It is almost complete. Today (on the day of filming) B Legit the savage showed up to spit on a track. Him and Turf Talk rolled up like it was nothin lol...i couldnt believe it. Anything can happen at Chicken Hill though. This track they were working on has WC...yes DUB C on it. Its not finished yet. The entire list of all stars is on the video itself.....hit pause and see for yourself, this album will be the HEAT....(if you like rap anyway). Anyhow, in this video, as usual, everyone who comes by wants to hear the hoopty. B Legit took a quick look and then swiftly backed up about 20 feet away. He wouldnt even listen to his own song "stickem", that has taken over the bassheads world wide lately. I wish he would get in but no dice! I wonder if E40 would? someday we shall see. Just in case you didnt know what all is in this ride there are 2 Rockford Fosgate T15k Amplifiers. There is 8 Fi BTL 18's and all Rockford Fosgate Mids/highs. Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2, Windows PC 10.2" Touchscreen and more....basicly the works. It is sitting on custom one-off, staggered 3 Piece Wheels by AZA ( http://www.azaforged.com ) wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 295/25/26" Tires. Upoholstery is by Sean Kat, Kat Kustom Interiors Sacramento. I did some of it myself, but the stitching was all Sean Kat. Brakes by Wilwood: 16" Rotors 6 Piston calpers front , 14.5" 4 Piston Rear.... AirBags, Titanium Shocks and self leveling system by Ridetech DJM Upper/Lower Front Control Arms, Spohn Performance Upper/Lower Rear control arms and panhard bar. I couldnt stand looking at the engine compartment and seeing the STOCK intake. This thing was due to go home the following day so i ran out and snatched up the K&N Cold Air Intake and popped it in. It not only performs well, but it also looks much better too. Installed: Cadillac Escalade Spohn Adjustable Panhard Bar, Rear Upper and Lower Control Arms
If you have ever lowered or bagged a Chevy Tahoe or Cadillac Escalade, at least pre 2007, you know they come down at some strange angle that makes the entire rear end shift to the left. This causes the wheel on the rear passenger side to stick out past the fender and very slightly touching it, while the driver side tucks inside the fender and has room to spare. This is caused by the factory panhard bar. The solution was to install an adjustable one. Now everything is even. I got it here (click link) http://www.spohn.net/shop/2000-2006-GM-SUV-Suburban-Tahoe-Yukon-Avalanche-E scalade-Hummer-H2/ . I also picked up the upper and lower control arms which are also adjustable, lighter and stronger. I installed these on my Chevy Tahoe a few video's ago and i HAD to get some for this project after feeing how they ride. It is a VERY noticeable difference! CLEANER SOUND! 12 15" Woofers in a Jeep - Setting Gains With SMD-DD1 Distortion Detector
Kasey came by with his jeep sitting on 12 15" DC Audio woofers in a wall. He also has 3 amplifiers running the system. A 4 Channel Rockford Fosgate Amp on the mids, a Alpine amp on the tweets, and a DC Audio 9k amp on the Bass. We very quickly set the entire system up and the results were good! Watch the video, see what he thinks of this product! AVAILABLE ONLY AT http://www.wcCarAudio.com *** Ever wonder how to set your amp gains properly? We now have a hassle free solution and anyone can set them like a pro! The SMD Distortion Detector DD-1 is the answer! This is not just an alternative to an Oscilloscope. It does not just detect clipping, it detects DISTORTION. Even a clean, unclipped signal can contain distortion. This device will sniff it out. Once you have set your gains with proper "overlap", you will notice your system sounds better then ever and may even be louder! Remember, the gain setting is NOT a volume knob, it is there to match the signal input to the head units output so you can reach maximum clean power as the deck is reaching its own maximum output. Use tracks ranging from 0db to -15 db (included on the disc) to set your gain overlaps according to the way you play your system. Detailed instructions will be included of course and i promise you this is EASY. EVERY serious installer should have one of these. Search youtube to see what the first "beta" testers are saying about this product. They are now on sale at http://www.wcCarAudio.com with an expected ship date of early August 2011. Visit the site and download the installation manual today, it is good readin' if you are interested in this product and want to know more before you buy. Adjustable Panhard Bar Installed - 01 Tahoe Spohn Performance
