Saturn VUE. When the Saturn VUE Green Line 2 Mode (its full and proper name) arrives near the end of 2008, the VUE will be the first vehicle to offer a choice of two hybrid powertrains. The hybrid system in the original VUE Green Line is inexpensive, but doesn't offer all the fuel savings of a "full" hybrid. The VUE Green Line 2 Mode, on the other hand, promises a 50-percent increase in city fuel economy over its gas-only V6 counterpart and an impressive range of more than 500 miles. Unlike the first VUE hybrid, the second will be able to run solely on electric power at low speeds. Expect a starting price in the high $20,000 range. Saturn VUE. Versatile, practical and stylish could be the mantra of the 2008 Saturn VUE. A mid-size SUV with plenty of cargo-hauling ability and seating for five, the 2008 Saturn VUE has been revamped to reflect European design elements and a higher level of interior refinement. The previous generation Saturn VUE didn't have much pizzazz -- the conventional large-SUV design features didn't work well with the Saturn VUE's smaller dimensions. The new-generation Saturn VUE is both larger and more stylish, offering more appeal to singles and families wanting an easy-riding SUV with plenty of character. A hybrid version of the VUE offers more sophisticated technology and even better gas mileage. But the 2008 Saturn VUE does not offer a third row of seating, though some of its competitors do. With seating for eight, a long list of standard comfort and convenience features, and cutting-edge technology designed to ensure the safety of all its passengers, the Saturn Outlook may just be the perfect family vehicle. Although the Outlook shares much of its design with the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia, Saturns unique styling and hassle-free dealer experience make it the likely choice for younger shoppers, as well as Saturn loyalists with growing families. Saturn has completely redesigned its VUE SUV, adding a Green Line trim touting the same mild hybrid technology found in the Saturn Aura hybrid. Aside from its improved fuel economy, the Saturn VUE Green Line operates much like the non-hybrid model. A comfortable interior and an eye-catching exterior make the VUE Green Line a good choice for those in need of a small and efficient SUV. Saturn Astra - Kelley Blue Book's Review

Saturn Astra. Europe. Sure, it's a continent but to many Americans it means so much more. From the Euro-Sealer to the Euro-Jet, almost any product seems more exotic, more exciting and somehow better with a little European flair. And the same holds true for automobiles.
Saturn was originally established by General Motors to fight the rising prominence of import brands in the US. So it is ironic that Saturn has pinned its hopes for defending its home turf on a car imported directly from General Motor's key European division, Opel. Irony aside, the Astra brings an added dose of style and excitement to the Saturn lineup, something the brand needs to continue its dramatic turnaround. iPhone/iPod Intergration with 2008/2009 Saturn Vue (Including Mount) Part 1 of 2
Part 1 of 2
Hey fellow Vue owners!
I figured I'd give you guys the heads up and the skinny on the situation.
If you have always wanted to setup your iPhone/iPod with your Vue so you can:
Charge it while in use
Control it with the radio/steering wheel controls
Have great sound quality
Not have to always use the AUX port cause the lingering cable is unattractive
and
Have a nice mount with a good viewing angle
This is the video for you. I will show you how to get all this together and easily installed YOURSELF for about $200! Going to a car audio store will cost you twice as much! I've done my research. Plus, you'll have the added honer of a do-it-yourself project you'll use every time you're behind the wheel.
Tools you'll need:
Phillips-Head Screw Driver (the longer the stem, the better)
Flat-Head Screw Driver (not so long, but not short either)
Angle Cutters (Wire Cutters)
Needle-Nose Pliers
Zip Ties
Shopping List:
iSimple - AppleĀ® iPodĀ® Direct Connect Kit for Select GM Vehicles (ISGM74)
also known as the Peripheral Electronics PXAMG iPod Interface
Peripheral Electronics PODCBLBM-5v 3G iPhone Charging Cable
Bracketron Mobile Electronics iPod Docking Kit (Vent Mounting Solution)
Bracketron Mobile Electronics Satellite Radio Dash Mount (Pro-Series 45mm)
All of these items, except for the 3G iPhone Charging Cable can be found at Best Buy. You may be able to find them online for a few bucks cheaper, but having the security of being able to return the products if defective is better if you go to Best Buy. Besides, at the time of writing this thread, Best Buy is the best bargain. The cable can be found on DiscountCarStereo.com or by searching Google or eBay.
Make sure the Satellite Radio Mount is the 45mm kind. Otherwise, the mount will not be long enough. The iSimple Kit must be the ISGM74 version so it will come with all the necessary cables and such for your 2008/2009 Vue.
You can research more info on the PXAMG Interface but believe me when I tell you it works WONDERFULLY!
This video will show you how to install each device giving you complete integration with the factory radio including a mount to hold your iPod/iPhone in place.
