Karmann Ghia - Convertible Top Installation - Part 4 - Outer Canvas
It been a long time since the last video on the install (September 2012 to be exact). Karmann Ghia - Convertible Top Installation - Part 2 - Headliner
A step by step of how I installed the custom tweed headliner from Mike at House of Ghia (made by TMI) in my 1974 VW Karmann Ghia. Thanks to Vince (Ghiaaddict) on thesamba for his step by step tutorial. I would not have even attempted this without his help and guidance. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=389729&postdays=0&postorde r=asc&start=0 Check out the vids on the rear glass frame and seal here: http://youtu.be/qj3o8qUEcgA (part 1) http://youtu.be/BiQnliKjQDw (part 2) Check out the frame adjustments here: http://youtu.be/BzM5mvo9N0A
Karmann Ghia - Stretching The Convertible Top
The rear window latch wouldn't clear, so I had to do some investigation into the problem. While I was in there, I tightend up the headliner. Boiling water was the answer to getting the canvas to stretch.
