Honda CR-Z Mugen Hybrid v Ariel Atom Mugen - Auto Express
Full review: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/videos/videoreviews/269185/mugen_vs_mugen_review.html#ixzz1QBbY7ovl
Mugen is a company that doesn't do things by half -- and lately Honda's tuning arm has been extremely busy.
The world's most skeletal car, the Ariel Atom has been given a power Boost without the need for a Supercharger. The result is a 270bhp output from its 2.0-litre Honda-sourced engine that makes it just about the fastest thing on four wheels. Alongside the Atom Mugen we drove the CR-Z Mugen -- currently a one-off tuned version of the hybrid coupe.
Honda CR-Z review - CarBuyer
Full review: http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/honda/cr_z/hatchback/review
As fuel-prices are on the up, it's becoming harder to find genuine driving thrills on a budget. But Honda thinks it has the answer. The CR-Z is based on the Honda Insight, but it uses a 112bhp 1.5-litre engine, rather than a 1.3-litre unit. The petrol engine is paired with a 10bhp electric motor, which gives the CR-Z a 0-62mph time of 9.9 seconds and top speed of 124mph.

► New 2012 Honda CR-Z MUGEN revealed
Development of the supercharged Honda CR-Z is on track, with performance figures already looking promising.
Early tests with a prototype car based on a standard CR-Z and a mid-tune engine have given 0-60mph times around that of the Civic Type R.
After a further 15 per cent increase in power over this 'stage 1' engine and with over 50kg reduced from the chassis, overall performance is set to meet MUGEN's original targets.
"Early fuel consumption tests have also been encouraging," says Colin Whittamore from MUGEN Euro. "We've retained the three driving modes from the standard car and economy ranges from 50+mpg in 'eco' mode to mid-30 mpg when tapping into the supercharged power in a special 'MUGEN' mode."
Futurelooks Reviews the 2011 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid Coupe
UPDATE: Final thoughts and photo gallery posted: http://www.futurelooks.com/the-2011-honda-cr-z-sport-hybrid-video-review/
http://www.futurelooks.com - Futurelooks reviews their biggest gadget ever! The 2011 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid coupe is the first of hopefully a line of vehicles that take the rubbish handling and feeling out of the hybrid concept. with a hot design reminiscent of the original "CRX" the CR-Z should make a hybrid driver out of you. That's if you don't have kids as the North American version is missing the backseats. During our test, the car definitely got some looks from passerbys and was a lot of fun overall.
Full review and conclusions from the reviews are coming up on a post @futurelooks.com!
