BMW M5 Racing - Wet Track Conditions - BMW Performance School HD
In car racing footage including data from Race Keeper including GPS, speed and tachometer (unfortunately a M3 setting, so not as accurate) for a BMW M5 at the 1-day M-School at the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina. These are 3 of my "best" laps from the day on the wet track and when I catch and pass (through the pits) two of my competitors. A great day of racing the BMW M3, M5, and M6.
BMW M3 at Daytona - Sept 2005 - SCCA - Race #1
Over a weekend in Sept 2005, I ran my BMW M3 in three SCCA "sprint" races.
These are typically pretty short, 30 minutes at the most. This clip is the
first 10 minutes of race #1. At the beginning of the race you will see the
winning P1 BMW M3 pass on the track apron going into turn one. That car was
run by RTR Motorsports and had a LOT more invested in it than my M3 so I
didn't feel too bad losing to it.
I ran in the P1 class for this race and ended up 2nd in class. 2005 was
the last year I campaigned my M3 in SCCA, but I won the championship for
the third year in a row. You will notice a lot of much higher horsepower cars running on
the track with me - these are running in GT1 class.

BMW M5 1000WHP and Superretards Spring action
Ivarsproduction's sick BMW M5 E34 making some noice on the streets of
västerås with the supermoto crew "Superretards".
The supra is owned by Crowbar in the Superretard's crew and got around
600WHP at the moment.

BMW E60 M5 - High Performance Driving School
E60 M5 at a recent BMW CCA High Performance Driving School. This is my
second session, day 2 (April 6, 2008) in the B-group. I'm just barely
B-group (bumped up mid-weekend) and so my instructor had me focusing on
keeping perfect lines and not on picking up the extra speed that was

2014 BMW M5 Competition vs 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Model! - Head 2 Head Ep. 44
On this episode of Head 2 Head Jonny Lieberman is joined by Mike Shaffer
and two extremely potent hyper sedans, the 2014 BMW M5 Competition and the
2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Model. Between the two of them, these two
mighty Germans produce 1152horsepower and 1092
pound-feet of torque. On paper. After a day of horsing around/testing
Shaffer and Lieberman grow suspicious of each twin-turbo V-8's actual output. So, they take them to
the Dyno gurus at K&N
engineering to learn what's what. The results very well may shock and amaze
you. However, the boys come to the conclusion that numbers are only exactly
that: only numbers, and numbers only matter so much. One true test of a
super sedan is how it handles a twisting stretch of tarmac. The other is
how much you yearn for the car after you've walked away from it. How much
the keys itch in your pocket. While the results are definitive, this Head 2
Head is much closer than most. Have a watch!

New 2014 BMW M4 Coupe - Test Drive on Race Track
The new BMW M3 Sedan and new BMW M4 Coupe from BMW M GmbH see a return to a
six-in-line engine configuration, as used on the second and third
generations of this iconic sports car. The new turbocharged engine combines the best of both
worlds -- reaching a maximum 7,600 rpm, it is unusually high-revving for a
turbocharged engine, resulting in linear
power delivery over a wide engine speed range and a characterful engine
note, while M TwinPower turbo technology
ensures that peak torque is on top over a broad rpm range. A further
hallmark of this engine is its outstanding efficiency.
The new engine sees a slight power upgrade over the previous V8 to 431 hp,
which is delivered between 5,390 and 7,000 rpm. Peak torque has been
increased by roughly 40 per cent to 550 Newton metres, and is maintained
over a very wide rev band (1,800--5,390 rpm). The standard sprint from zero
to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes the new BMW M3 Sedan and new BMW M4 Coupe 4.1
seconds respectively. Top speed is 250 km/h / 155 mph (electronically
limited), or 280 km/h / 174 mph if the optional M Driver's Package is
specified. The new powerplant also boasts excellent fuel economy: the BMW
M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe achieve consumption in the EU cycle of 8.3 l/100
km (34 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 194 g/km, an improvement of more than
25 per cent over the previous model's figures. Regulated pollutant
emissions are EU6-compliant.
