I highly recommend to not modify the upper oil pan to fix this issue as it is real easy to crack, drill too deep and basically ruin your oil pan! If you don't feel you have the time or tools to service your main studs - check out www.JDS-Performance-Parts.com to purchase a serviced pair or send your in for servicing! ///Update/// In this video I state when installing the main studs "when they bottom out" - Well they actually do not bottom out - the stud stops on the block where the threads end. Undercut studs would solve this issue but there has been talk that the undercut studs are not as strong and in some cases pull the threads out on the block.
