2004 Corvette Z06 - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars
2004 Corvette Z06 Just your run-o-the-mill badass Z06 roadster. The C5 Corvette was literally built differently than all GM products leading up to 1997. 0.29 drag in the wind tunnel. D.I.C. which could read diagnostic codes and display them for the driver without a computer. Constructing the frame rails with a process called Hydroforming. Replacing 14 parts used in the structural integrity of the C4 helping reducing the C5's weight by 68 pounds. Hydroforming also alleviated the tall frame rails for the C5 making it less of a chore to enter and exit then the C4. You had to carefully step over the frame so you wouldn't scrape the interior carpet with your shoes or worse stiletto heals. I thought it was unique and missed it in the C5. Third-generation LS1 V8 was overhauled to an all-aluminum block, utilizing ignition coils replacing the distributor of all previous small-block engines and new cylinder firing order. Rated at 345 bhp and 350 lbs. ft. With 28 mpg highway mileage it avoided the gas guzzler tax. Another trend set by Corvette was Run Flats Tires became standard equipment in 1997. The most important of all refinements was the transmission being moved to the rear of the car right between the wheels aptly named trans-axle. Of course the significance of this was Corvette now had a more even distribution weight to the tune of 51% in front 48% in back. This may not seem like a big deal now but in 1997 as a gearhead or an American auto enthusiast you knew what they meant for the C5...Poising GM to enter and compete in the Super Car market. My personal favorite accommodation was the introduction of the Fixed Roof Coupe for 1999. There was a rumor back in the day that Chevy was entertaining the idea of offering a striped down model of the Corvette allegedly nicknaming it The Poor Man's Corvette. This was how the Fixed Roof Coupe would fit into the future stable of Corvettes. To be honest this wasn't such a bad idea as far as my circle of fiends were concerned, a no frills V8 Muscle Car would have been a welcomed turnaround for the American automotive enthusiast...It may have even made a Corvette buyer out of them. But, it didn't happen. What did happen was in 2001 Chevrolet used the Fix Roof Coupe body style too debut the most impressive Vehicle GM ever envisioned...2004 Corvette Z06 with the heart stopping LS6 hammering out 385 bhp and 385 lb·ft. The FE4 suspension calibrated toward high speed operation was developed for Z06 and not available on other Corvette models. 2004 Corvette Z06 boasted 405 horsepower. However, dynamometer tests have shown that GM underrated the LS6 by 20 horsepower giving it a total of 425 asphalt splitting horsepower and a missile screaming 412 foot pounds of torque. 1.90 second from 0 to 60 mph. This 3,074 pound badass can shear through the quarter mile in 11.97 second, bone stock at 118.80 mph. http://www.coolcarsvideo.com 2004 Corvette Z06 - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars http://www.cool-cars-video.com cool cars, hot cars, fast cars, dream cars, Cool Cars Video offers a feast for the eyes as well as insight from car enthusiasts about owning these cool street machines. 1965 Chevelle Malibu, custom/modified - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars
A stunning 65 Malibu. This is a highly custom/modified 1965 Malibu and it holds great sentimental value for it's owner. It's a great example of personal flare that often goes into car crafting. The Chevelle was introduced in late 1963 to fill the mid-size gap in Chevrolet's line. The Malibu options package, named after a celebrated beach in California, proved so popular it would later become it's own model. In 1964 Chevelle was dubbed - back to the classic 1950's! The Chevelle was produced by a division of General Motors from 1964 through 1977 by 1978 GM decided to drop the Chevelle name. The Chevelle is an A-Body platform and was one of Chevrolet's best selling automobiles. Coupes, sedans, convertibles and station wagons were buyer options for body styles. Chevrolet fans took to the new Chevelle right away. The Malibu option received the dominant sales. Although The 1964 Chevelle was already a good looking car it got a re-design for it's 1965 model. The most noticeable ornamentation change was a more aggressive grill and bumper, better visibility taillights. The body had an overall more square appearance, this may be due to the fact that GM decided to give the 1965 model bigger body dimensions, 2.7 inches longer and a lower stance of 1.3 inches but no wheelbase base change was made to the car. An interesting side note to the Chevy Chevelle is that in 1964/1965 the Canadaian division of GM produced a mid-size automobile known as the Acadian Beaumont. The model was based on the contemporary Chevelle but was undeniably Pontiac. The Beaumont is a beautiful addition to GM, taking most of it's styling cues from the Tempest. The 1965 Malibu is a great American automobile. The Malibu has existed in the GM line up for fifty years. http://www.coolcarsvideo.com 1965 Chevy Malibu, custom/modified - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars All the exotic cars, muscle cars, and performance cars you can imagine have shown up here - or will. 1968 Dodge Charger - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars
Cool Cars Dodge's full size muscle-bound Charger earned a great deal of respect when it was introduced to the NASCAR circuit in 1966 through 1967. Sales, however, were not very impressive until it was completely redesigned for 1968. The '68 Charger blew away Dodge's projected sales figures and a second production plant was built to accommodate customer demand. The 13 year lifespan of the Dodge Charger spawned over 710,000 cars. Today, what's left of those cars are highly valued by collectors and back yard mechanics alike. http://www.coolcarsvideo.com 1968 Dodge Charger - Cool Cars, Hot Cars, Fast Cars All the exotic cars, muscle cars, and performance cars you can imagine have shown up here - or will. 133120 / 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Boss 302
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/9fpv8je Ready for a different kind of pony car? Take a close look at this pristine 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator. Fresh out of a comprehensive restoration, this cat has and aggressive demeanor and plenty of power to back it up. Restored to factory specifications, the body panels are straight in true in every way. A coat of Ford's code N Pastel Blue covers the body, accented by the black body-length stripes courtesy of the Eliminator package. While the color may look white, there is a subtle blue tint that is guaranteed to make this Mercury stand out in the crowd. Panel fitment is also far superior to anything that left Ford's Dearborn plant in 1970. Other pieces of the Eliminator package include a front chin spoiler, blacked-out grilled, hood scoop, an air foil wing and discrete "Eliminator" decals. The glass appears to be original as does the stainless trim around it but both are in excellent condition overall. With its race-friendly look, this is very clearly no common Cougar. Under the hood, a familiar 290hp Boss 302 V8 provides more than enough motivation to push this cat around town. From the properly decaled single snorkel air cleaner to the date-code correct block, everything about the powerplant looks as it did when it left the factory. The engine fires immediately, idles well and has a menacing snarl to warn other drivers exactly what is beside. Beneath the car, a nicely detailed undercarriage consists of a factory chassis with factory-correct overspray gracing the rock solid floor fans. In the center, a Hurst-equipped Toploader 4-speed takes care of gear selection while a nodular Ford nine-inch differential with 3.91 gears puts the power the road. Steering is manual but braking is power assisted with discs in the front and drums out back. The chassis meets the road through Goodyear Polyglas tires wrapped around steel wheels topped with dog-dish hubcaps and chrome beauty rings. Between the doors, a Medium Blue interior is simple, comfortable and functional. The hi-back bucket seats are wrapped in Comfortweave vinyl and face a factory dashboard that houses the original instrumentation plus climate controls and an AM/FM stereo. With the exception of the aluminum Hurst shift handle, there are no frills to be found here. Behind the rear seat, the trunk features a correct mat, jack and spare tire. Documentation for this Cougar is strong with an original build sheet, dealer invoice and several records that spell out the car's full history. There is also a Marti Report that covers everything down to production dates. In this form, it's easy to imagine the Cougar as less of a sibling and more of a rival to the Mustang. With the Boss 302 and slick shifting Toploader, this cat offers all the fun in a unique shell. Call, click or visit http://rkmotorscharlotte.com for more information on this amazing Mercury.

LED Taillights on a '68 Mercury Cougar
This video is to show how much easier the sequential taillights work on a '68 Mercury Cougar, when LED lights are installed. As you can see, the left side works faster, is 'crisper', even when the taillights are on. The one's on the right are the plain, incandescent bulbs. Notice how much slower, and longer it takes, especially when the taillights are on. I had the battery on a charger while I was taking this. The LED lights I used are relatively inexpensive. I purchased them from: www.superbrightleds.com, and they are the 1157-R24 (the wide beam), and they are $7.49 each. They last 10,000 hours, and use a LOT less energy than incandescent bulbs. They do make brighter, more expensive LED's, but these are pretty close, if not brighter than regular incandescents.

1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 Coupe GT 6.5 litre (390 Big Block)
Have had this project for some time now, and don't have the time it deserves to be put into it. This is a very very rare car. Most of the Cougars you may find have the 289 ci V8. This car has the 390 big block -The power is unbelievable. Back in the day, Ford marketed the Mustang "for the man starting out", the Mercury Cougar was marketed as for "the man who was on his way". (The Thunderbird was marketed for "the man who had arrived") Car is unbelievably powerful, pulls rubber in all 3 gears. I have had the car for a long time, started it several times every year. But it is time to let it go to a good home. This is a numbers matching authentic S code 390 Cougar XR7. These are unique and beautiful cars.
