Blown Head Gasket Saab 9-3?! Start Up With LOTS of Smoke
Well a lot of you probably remember the 2000 Saab 9-3 Hatch back that we
had at the dealership a couple of months ago. Well something happened to
the engine to where it just billows an un natural amount of pure white
smoke! They brought it back so we can get it fixed for them. In this
video I try and assess what's going on and see if you all have any
suggestions on what it could be before we send it to the shop. Dad also
pulls it around and sees for him self. we're thinking it's a head gasket
and maybe a motor mount or a tranny mount. Post below what you guys think
it is and I'll let you all know when we find out. You will see what I mean
and how bad this thing is haha, enjoy!
2007 SAAB 9-3 Aero (2.8T) start-up / exhaust note
-18 degrees Celsius, cold start up with slight rev @ the end ; enthusiasts
will understand why i didnt rev it more / higher, considering the
temperature // installations include 3" catback pipes with a magnaflow
resonator and deleted mufflers
2006 Saab 9-3 Aero 2.8t V6 with custom exhaust
2006 Saab 9-3 Aero 2.8t V6 with custom Exhaust. 3" resonator, 3.5" piping, 2.5" after
I had this done at a Rainbow Mufflers in Jacksonville. Took a long time
and the piping after the "y" is crush bent, not mandrel bent like I asked
for. Overall I am happy with the Exhaust and seems to flow better than the stock
Exhaust....then again my butt Dyno doesn't print out Dyno sheets!

Fixing Saab 9-5 Security System Problems -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
As I said in the video the owner brought me this car along with the
supposed fix. The symptoms were an intermittent no start and a message on
the dash indicating a security system problem. Apparently this is a common
problem with Saabs of this vintage and the problem is usually linked to
this siren/security module. Apparently the batteries go bad in the unit
causing it to act up intermittently. In this video I show the steps needed
to replace the module, it's actually a very easy job that does not require
a lot of tools. So if you have an issue with the security system on a Saab
of this vintage you might want to give this fix a try.
Here's the ebay store link to the company that rebuilds the modules.
